I received care from Victus 9 Mile starting on November 2, 2021. Dr. Newman told me that my teeth were not in very good shape, although some were viable, and recommended many procedures to prolong their lifespan including several extractions, root canals and a flipper tooth replacement. We also discussed the option of total extractions and implants or extractions. At that appointment I paid a 353$ deposit for the flipper, which was to be made at a later date. I was also referred to Dr *****, an oral surgeon for the extraction. After consideration and discussion I decided that the best choice for me was total extraction and immediate dentures as my insurance doesn't cover implant procedures. I returned to the Victus 9 mile office on April 30, 2022 to reevaluate my treatment plan. Dr. Newman agreed to the total extractions and immediate dentures, again sending a referral to Dr. *****. We discussed the immediate dentures and was told that they would be temporary while my mouth and jaw healed and adjusted from surgery. The dentures would be made by a separate lab but their adjustments and service would be done through Victus. At that appointment I paid a 1713$ deposit for the dentures, while my insurance would cover the rest of the cost. June 1st I had surgery with Dr *****, extracting 20 teeth and placing the temporary dentures. While leaving the surgeon remarked that my dentures did not fit well, they were very large, and that I should consult with my regular dentist regarding the misfit. Victus was contacted and I was told that a follow up was not needed. After being brushed off by Victus and struggling after major oral surgery on my own, with no support- I contacted and received care from another local dentist. There it was affirmed that my temporary dentures did not fit and never could have fit properlly. New temporary dentures were ordered and general after surgical care was provided. The cost for the immediate denture at the new dentist was 600$Business response
