Two years ago, November 2021 I signed a contract with a local window company Eco View to install 13 windows and 1 door in one of my rental houses. The contract 211165360 was drawn up with ***** *** for a total amount of $12.104.00. Half of the total amount was financed through ******** $6,052.00 in which I have made automatic payments since November 2021 of $85.17 and the final amount $6,052.00 was to be added by the Eco View the contractor company after they were installed. This project was during the stages of covid, so the windows took almost a year to be made. Finally in February 2023 the windows were installed by Eco View. In July 2023 I received an Email from Eco View that I owe them $6,052.00 for the window installation. I emailed them several times and I tried to phone them and left several messages, but no received no response. Then in October 2023 I receive a letter from an attorney saying that they will garnish my property and take me to court I immediately contacted the attorney by voice mail and said I have a contract with ********, and I have been paying on it for two years and I am having a hard time getting in touch with them and gave him copies of the contract and paperwork. I then started to get phone calls from James from Eco View almost daily and informed him that I want him to get paid, but he had forgotten to submit the final payment to ******** and that was the delay. I then contacted ***** *** and spoke to several representatives over the past few weeks. I spoke to Tina Carlos, Debra, Karina, Tristan, and Tyler just to name a few daily for this concern. I ask for the supervisor I also had a case opened (case# 6143803) . So the company could get paid well it wasn’t and James from Eco view called me three or four times ***** *** informed me that Eco View had forgotten to submit the final payment of $6,052.00 by the deadline of May 2023 and that is why they are calling and threatening me.Business response

Yes we took a long time to finish the project. Project is now complete. We have called multiple times for final payment. No response. We had the attorney send a letter. He responded to the letter. Since then I have talked to Mr ***** a couple times. He keeps saying its taken care of, he spoke to someone at ******** to reactivate his account. I call ***** *** they have no record of this. The account on my end shows it is blocked and we cannot request to transact on it. All we are trying to do is collect final payment. September 2022- Ordered windows for my home through eco view windows. I was told it would take 4 months to be delivered and installed. January 2023- Windows were installed by eco view. One of the windows was defective, so I called as soon as I noticed and they ordered another. They said it would take 2 months. March 2023- After not receiving a call or email from the company, and noting that it had been more than 2 months, I called the company. There was a lot of confusion, and after talking to a few people, found out my window had been broken in transit, and had been there for 3 weeks. No one called to tell me any of this. They had not re-ordered the window at that time, so I suggested they do it, and expedite the process, because I needed to have my home inspected to lower my insurance rates BEFORE hurricane season started. (Thats why I ordered the windows in Sept.) May 2023- This is the month in which the 3rd window was supposed to arrive. I have reached out to the owner, and he has been less than understanding. July 2023- Owner will not respond to texts or calls regarding my window. I just want my window. I have done some research on this company and he has some very bad reviews on Google and BBB. I am filing this report with the intention of helping others be aware of this felonious, inept business. I also hope that it will demote this company's rating with you at the BBB. I find it hard to believe that this company has an "A" rating. Please, help me get my window and warn others about this company.Business response

We signed a contract the end of July and were told our windows and doors would be in within 6 months. We heard nothing from the company until January for the doors to be installed. Installation was cancelled because the doors were incorrect. The doors were not resolved until April after we called to check. Windows have still not arrived. We were told the windows would ship May 21. After multiple calls and text we were informed today that the windows will be finished next week and ship the week after. We have high doubts this will actually happen. We are incredibly disappointed with this company and will not be recommending in the future. Our desire was to have our new windows installed before this next hurricane season. We assumed ordering July of last year would have been plenty of time to ensure our house was better prepared for this hurricane season.Business response

We signed a contract with Ecoview on April 4, 2022 for installation of 9 new windows at a price of $9329. We paid $4664.50 as a down payment. We received updates on the arrival of our windows and on October 20th our windows were delivered and 7 were installed and 2 were too large from factory to be installed. 2 of the windows installed are crooked and one of those the screen will not fit in properly. 2 of the screens installed have bent frames and have gaps between them and the windows. 1 of the large windows has a dent in the frame and needs to be replaced. We were told the 2 windows that were too large would arrive in about a month from the installation. I have made at least 6 calls to the office in Pensacola and 2 were answered. I was told someone from the complaint department would be contacting me. I have received no calls from anyone from Ecoview about my complaint or the status of the 2 windows that weren't installed due to being too large. This is February 28, almost one year after signing the contract and I feel as if Ecoview has no intention of fulfilling our contract.Business response

Purchased windows over a year ago. 9 months to get a partial install. 1 month for remaining install. 1 window and 3 screens broken at install. 1 window ordered as frosted instead of clear as intended. Still waiting on repair and replacements. Company will not answer the phone and has now deferred to the manufacturer. Manufacturer stated they have no pending orders for me as of today.Business response

I spoke with the homeowner regarding the issue. There were mistakes made on the order and due to the product shortages we couldn't get a set ship date from the manufacturer. We did finally receive a ship date and the homeowner is aware of it.Initial Complaint

Windows and doors were installed 09/22/2021. Inspection was performed and failed in October 2021. I informed Ecoview that the inspection failed due to the inspector not being provided the appropriate specifications for the doors and windows, as well as an unstable threshold at the back exterior french door. I had contact with the installer who stated that they would see what they could do and would be in touch but have not heard from the installer since. I have called Ecoview several times and have been told that I would be contacted to schedule a time to fix the problems and set up a reinspect. I have also attempted to call what I was informed was the owners number by an Ecoview employee, and left several voicemails. It is unacceptable that part of the service agreement and cost was that Ecoview would manage all permitting and inspections, which has not been completed even though payment was already made in full. I am requesting that Ecoview simply fulfill their obligations.
