We understood that things like this happen, so we asked Summer to bring us towels to prevent water damage to the floor or cabinets. She left to get them—but never returned. Instead, a different salesman, Oness, approached and explained that Summer was very upset and that he would be assisting us from then on. It felt strange, but we decided to keep moving forward. Oness was helpful and continued the inspection with us. We made an offer, and after consulting with his manager, Grant S****. Oness returned, extending a hand and saying, "We have a deal." We agreed to the down payment and left, expecting a follow-up call to finalize everything and pick up a fully-prepped camper. Six days later, we returned at Camping World’s scheduled appointment time. After waiting an hour, we checked on the camper ourselves, noticing that Summer was nearby but never acknowledged us or the situation. The camper hadn’t been cleaned or prepped as promised; it was nowhere near ready for us to hitch up and take home. Finally, we were called to the finance manager’s office, where things took a shocking turn. The paperwork presented was $7,000 above the handshake price we had agreed upon. No one—not Oness, not the finance manager, nor the service manager on duty—had answers. The original manager who approved our agreement was conveniently absent, and my request to call him went unanswered. Disheartened, we left, wondering if we’d ever see our $6,500 deposit returned. After a week, we did receive the cashier's check for our deposit, but this bait-and-switch left us feeling deceived and deeply disappointed.
