On 6/16/23 I mailed a check, to Treasure Coast Newspaper for paper delivery for 7/01/23-12/31/2023 which cleared my bank on 6/23/2023. My husband become too ill to read the paper in late June. On 6/30/2023, my son called TC Newspaper and canceled the paper before the 7/1/2023 start. This is undisputed. He was told I would receive a refund within 4 weeks. My husband passed away on 7/11/23. No check arrived in 4 weeks and a second call was placed in August. We was advised that there was documentation of the cancellation, but the staff Member did not request a refund. The person stated that a refund request will be submitted and it will take four weeks to receive the check. No check was received in four weeks and a third call was placed in September. This person stated that the refund request has been placed and we should be receiving the check soon. No check. I called on October 11, 2023 and spoke to ************ who apologized and promised me that I would not have to call again and the check will be received in 10 days to 2 weeks. No check arrived. My son called again in November, same story that the check is coming. I called on December 1, 2023 and asked for a Supervisor and spoke to staff Supervisor ******(wouldn't give last name). She stated that the problem was that no refund was requested originally and we stated that we were moving. I told ****** that was not true and I have never been more frustrated in my life to obtain money owed to me. She is going to look into it, but I don't believe anything they tell me now. Over 5 months since first contact and I get untrue stories and no refund. Account number *********. Phone number called is **************. I lost my husband, his financial contribution to our income and now feel like TC Newspaper is purposely keeping my money.

Treasure Coast Newspapers sold me a subscription for $11.50 per month charged to my PNC **** credit card. I have been with them for years, this was a special rate. My wife temporarily stopped the delivery of the newspaper as we went north for to watch our grand baby in ******* for about 3 to 4 weeks Unfortunately my family contracted COVID and that stopped us from coming back as planned..My wife temporarily stopped delivery of the the paper on or about August 5, 2023, I tried to reinstate the delivery on or about September 20, 2023. (This is a safety issue as a pile of papers on the driveway is an invitation for a break in as it signals we are not home.)When I called to restart delivery of the newspaper I was informed that because I did not restart the subscription with in 30 days my rate would increase about 400%. The new rate would be $47.00 per month. So here are the facts: I DID NOT CANCEL THE SUBSCRIPTION!1. Treasure Coast Newspaper stated that because I didn't restart the delivery with in 30 days the price would increase to $47.00 per month. When my wife stopped delivery they never gave a mandatory restart date, they simply said call us when you're ready to restart delivery.2. They continued to charge my credit card the $11.50 agreed upon monthly charge and this included delivery of a paper and online access on the September 2023 billing.3. My agreement with Treasure Coast Newspaper is in my name and not my wife's name, they did not have my permission to accept her order in the first place.4. The account was active and I was never informed about the 30 day reactivating the delivery clause. They did this to find a way to raise my rate by any means possible. and I would appreciate getting this resolved so they think about it before do this to other people. This was a very unethical, shady, underhanded act on their part if not illegal. Thanks for your consideration in this unfortunate matter. .

Approximately 6 months ago I changed my newspaper subscription for The Stuart News from 7 days a week to Sunday delivery only. The charge is $15.00 per month. I recently noticed that I have been billed $28.00 per month (plus tax). When I requested The reason for the discrepancy I was advised by several customer service representatives that the paper automatically adds the $12.00 per month fee for what they call premium editions which was explained to be special sections added to the Sunday edition approximately 4 times a year. I was never advised of these 'special' editions, nor was I given the option to accept or reject them and pay the additional fees. In fact, upon a search of my on-line account information it shows only my subscription as a Sunday delivery only account at a charge of $15.00 per month with no mention of the additional charge for their Premium edition nor even a mention that the additional charge exists. It only appears on my monthly charge account but not on my account information with the newspaper. While I have finally gotten this extra charge eliminated from my account going forward I am being denied a credit for the time I unwittingly paid it, 6 months at approximately $12.72 per month. I find it impermissible and borderline unlawful for a business to add an additional charge without the client's knowledge nor consent and then give an explanation that it is automatic with a subscription. I refuse to be charged for something that I neither requested nor agreed to pay for and most certainly was not informed of its existence.

First of all I have been a customer of this newspaper for 20 years 19 of which were delivery in Port St Lucie and the past year in **********. During this time I have had several issues with billing though all were eventually resolved when I demanded that a supervisor become involved. My husband was the primary reader of the paper so after he passed away September 27 of this year I contacted the paper on October 3/2022 t cancel. I was told that day that a check would be sent to me in the amount of $210. It never came so on November 16 I called again. This time I was told no a check would not have been sent that it would have been refunded back to the credit card that I used to pay the bill. So on that day they told me a different amount of $211,12 to be refunded back to my card within **** days. Today December 2 I checked and I have had NO refund back to my credit card as far back as October 3rd just in case I had missed it. IT IS NOT THERE. So I call today and insist on a supervisor who tells me again a different amount of $225.88 that has been refunded back to my credit card. I told him I have not either received a check ot had a refund back to my credit card at this time.He tells me he will look into it with billing department and get back tome. As I am writing this complaint he calls me back and states that the the billing department says it was returned to my credit card on 10/7 givesme the correct card info and I again tell him that it has not been done .So hethen says I need to go back tomy bank to get the funds and I explain the bank has nothing to do with this since he just told me they are saying funds have been returned to my card and they have not. At the time I am writing this I have told supervisor ****** N to go back to them and tell then my bank has nothing to do with this that the funds were not returned to my credit card and that I will provide the statement if necessary to prove this. Please help.

I subscribed to the Treasure Coast news on Oct 31, ****. It is now October 17, 2022. In these past 3 weeks I have received 3 newspapers. I have contacted via ********* chat, customer service and have even spoken to 2 customer service supervisors. I still cannot get my delivery issue resolved. I call on a daily basis and the reps have told me that my concerns have been sent to the delivery manager and the carrier but still it continues. I finally resorted to canceling my subscription today since I cant receive the paper anyway. I fail to understand how this company can run a newspaper this way. I have always enjoyed my morning paper and would love to resubscribe if management ever gets their problems rectified. I would like a complete refund of all monies paid or I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company.

I was told on the sales call that our Sunday only subscription included the ** time insert. When I got the paper this morning it wasn't in there. When I chatted online with an agent he said it was an additional $5 a month. I canceled the subscription.

Instead, I have received the St. Lucie News Tribune, to which I do NOT subscribe, on a daily basis.I have spent over 2 hours, and have made seven calls to the New **********, and two calls to the St. Lucie News Tribune attempting to rectify this problem. Each business tells me to call the other.Neither business can or will give me the name or phone number of the local company that actually distributes the newspapers.I am at my wits end!

On February 2 I contacted them to cancel my subscription due to being overcharged. They said if I didn’t cancel they would charge me only $11 per month for a year. I just got charged today $24.95. I want the difference refunded.
