Southern Health Insurance LLC sold me what I thought was health insurance. They provided a BC/BS plan that sounded too good to be true. What they actually did was send my information to healthcare marketplace to find a subsidized insurance plan BC/BS for us, Healthcare marketplace is not affiliated in any way with Southern Health Insurance LLC. Southern Insurance LLC billed our credit card for ****** which was the amount that ******************* said we would be billed for the BC/BS plan. What the ****** charge was for was for a gap policy called Smart Health 200 through Federal LIfe Insurance Company that is not insurance at all. The company lied to me. They put me on the wrong plan that I did not want or asked for and not on the plan that I wanted and asked for in the beginning. They started taking money from me monthly without my knowledge and I thought someone else was stealing money from me every month before I found out it was them. They scammed me and took my money and told me they can not refund the money they took from me then told me it was my fault. This company is full of scammers that only care about taking money.Initial Complaint

They took money without my knowledge and put me on a plan I did not approve of. I asked for a refund for that money they took and they said they do not give refunds even if the money was taken monthly from me without my knowledge. It is true what they say, this company is a scam and full of scammers. They lied many times to me and instead blamed me. The money they take is more than the average insurance company cost. Now my money is gone in thin air with a plan I did not want.Initial Complaint

Southern Health insurance company is still sending me junk mail representing ****** Health care, cigna, wellcare and others which is unwanted and all of those companys have been warned several times to stop sending me their unwanted junk mail. ***** was trying to scam me saying someone signed me up with them of which i did not and had no knowledge of it, this company should be shutdown for fraud, their mailings have no company name on them which is fraud. and ******** should not be allowed to share my information with anyone.Customer response

Southern Health Insurance acted with dishonesty. They Charged me for health insurance on 11/29/2023 and then to me the next day that my application was denied. We ended up calling back again to try to figure out what needed to happen next. With my permission my mother assisted me with this situation and shared her concerns with the customer service rep who dusmissed her valid concerns. Once my mother realized that their business practices are not above board and that they were scamming me, we requested a refund. The customer service rep kept us on hold for a long time and then told us that she is not authorized to issue a refund. She then put us on hold again while we waited to speak with her supervisor. When she came back she said that her supervisor told us to dispute the charges with the bank. My 72 year old grandmother happened to be present and advised us that the bank would most likely charge us a fee to cancel the transaction and that agency should issue us a refund. We asked customer service again for a refund and they angrily mumbled something and hyng the phone up. My mother instructed me to call back. But when I did, my number was blocked. I tried calling back again, but again received a message saying that the person I called is not available.My mother then tried to call from her cell phone and the line rang, however no one answered.The company has somehow blocked my number. I do not want to do business with a crooked company. I requested a refund. However they refuse to honor my request.
