I contacted The Clock Gallery on March 29, 2022 at their retail location at 2249 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota. I set up an appointment to have Larry come to my condo to look at a clock on April 29. On April 29, Larry came and picked up the clock weight, works and pendulum along with the hands. I received a call from Barbara o or about the end of June or early July that the clock needed a new escapement wheel, and they would have to make the part at an additional cost of around $900. I asked her to have the repair man contact me to explain why if they could fabricate a new wheel, why they couldn't repair it. After no response for 2 weeks, I went to their store and was told by Barbara that they had no longer wanted to work on the clock. I asked if I could pick it up and was told that it was at another location. After not hearing for another few days, I called and they said I could pick up the clock. I picked it up on July 11. I looked at the bag with the hands in it and they were bent at 90 degrees. I was told by Barbara that if they could not be fixed, they would pay to have them replaced. I delivered the clock to another repair shop in Saint Petersburg on July 12. The following week, approximately July 18, I got a call from the new repair shop that a part was missing that attaches the pendulum, and they couldn't even check it without that part. I called Barbara immediately after that who told me that they would look for the part. I called back on Wednesday July 20, and Friday July 22 to talk to Barbara. On the July 20 call she said they were still looking, on the July 22 call I was told that she was not available and left a message. On Monday July 25, I called again, and Barbara answered the phone and said that the part was there when they gave it to me. If it was there when they gave it to me and they knew that they would have said that in the first follow up. They have refused to pay to have the part they lost fabricated.
