I contracted a move with Landmark Movers. The original date was a June 7th move from Brighton, CO to Inlet Beach, Fl with a 48 hour window - no later than pickup on the 9th. After the 9th came and went several times and dates came and went - always with a different excuse. They would contact me exactly at the beginning of the two hour time frame delivery window to cancel. This happened for four days. Today is the evening of the 10th and their last time frame of 4-6 has come and gone. It's a Friday - I believe they knew very well they would not come. It's a Friday - office is closed until Monday - no phones have been answered by them all afternoon. I looked through reviews - many others (37 in the last 12 months) have been scammed in a similar manner. They required a deposit - in my case $875...this was placed on my credit card immediately. Others had done this as well no move!!!! No contact !!! No explanation. I feel as though this company is a total scam. I'm out my deposit and no move and no way to contact them. The "home office" says Ft Lauderdale but others that were scammed have even tried to go to that office - and nothing exists !!! The sale person (Brian) was a total conman and sold me a total moving scam. The names I know involved in the scam / Brian Cote and someone named Barbara - she would not give her last name. Someone needs to look into this fraudulent company. Many people (I have unfortunately just discovered) have been scammed in a similar manner. I have filed a fraud claim with my bank and hope to recover my "deposit !" Please examine this company and warn people of their fraudulent business habits. By the way - I have copies of threatening texts I received from "Brian " the sales person - if that's his name ??? His attitude did a 360 when I tried to find out why they were not honoring their move and pickup times - they were over the top threatening and vile. This ensued because after four days of no show I requested my deposit.Initial Complaint

I am filing this complaint because this moving broker has no intention of refunding my deposit for $665.80 by electronic check. I paid Landmark Moving & Storage LLC on 2/16/22 for moving arrangements and cancelled on 2/19/22. The office manager, Paula S., refuses to answer and return my calls after stating I would be receiving a refund. I would like this matter resolved. We hired landmark moving to move us from Pittsfield mass to ocala fl. Our reference number is *******. We dealt with Jason and related we had our belongings in a 8x10 Storage unit. We went over item by item of what we had. We said we had around 20-24 totes and that 2 were soft sides which he said was okay. Flower pots that were stackable, garden tools in a bucket shrieked wrapped, a plastic park bench etc. Everything was fine. He related that they had a other pick-up in the next town over and would pick our stuff up on 12/27/21. When they came to pick-up a driver should up in a white van. We asked where the truck was and he related that another van was on its way? He looked at our stuff and said the soft totes could not go, the flower pots, etc without being boxed in regular boxes?? But for a mere $1400.00 more they could box it up and take it in vans instead of the truck that was suppose to be there. My wife as well as my daughter were trying to call landmark without success. I related to the driver I would like to talk to a supervisor and he related that he was the supervisor. When I told him that we would like a refund suddenly he was able to get someone to call back. The customer service called and I told her dealt that it was a bait and switch. She told me that we would be taking up twice the space in the truck. I could not understand how that was possible when we related that it was an 8x10 Storage unit. She said no to the refund request and that she would be in touch. I waited 3weeks and went a text to try to resolve the situation. I explain that we would like a partial refund because the driver did come out. We asked for $500.00 back which gave them $344.00 for the cost of the drivers etc. They could not even text us or call. I stated that they say they monitor calls so why not go back and see that Jason did say it was okay.
