My pool company has not assisted in getting the pool they installed to pass inspection with the county. They have received the entire sum in the installation contract and have not come back to fix the problems noted in the last inspection report. There is no response from the business and I need help trying to resolve this situation. I have placed calls to the company and left messages. Please help. This company has had so many negative experiences from customers, they need their license revoked.Business response

We've been there several times sometimes. The inspectors can't get in. You have to access the neighbors property to get in the back. It's electrical bonding issue. We've showed proof of bonding but the building department wouldn't accept it from my. State certified electrician. We now have to dig under the deck to prove the bondng again and meet them with electronic proof all is safe. Getting an engineering firm to certify the grounding at high cost.Initial Complaint

On March 28th 2023 we signed a contract for pool, heat pump, metal roof, and screen enclosure in the amount of $46,000 with ************************* from Refreshing pools and Spas, Intl, LLC. He does business under Tru Pools of the ************ Lic# CPC026504. We paid $23,000 upon signing and $23,000 when pool shell was delivered on October 19th. After months of waiting and excuse after excuse the job is not finished and the permit is not closed. First he blamed everything on the subcontractors and all of a sudden he says he doesnt have the money to finish the job even though we paid him in full.Initial Complaint

My complaint is against Refreshing Pools and Spas and its owner Mr. ************************* located at *********************************************************************; phone: **************.On 12/13/2022 I signed a contract with this company for $60,388.95 to complete a pool project at my house and I paid to ************** deposit for $30,194.48. ************** lied to me for 5.5 months that the pool will be very ready very soon. The pool was delivered on 6/1/2023, 5.5 months later, and his contactors worked on the project for 2 days. ************** immediately demanded from me to pay him in full if I want the pool proect to be done. I found out that ****************** company performs a very bad quality business and he makes his living by stealing money from his clients, extending jobs for years and walking away from incompleted projects but paid in full ahead. ************** does not have a professional license to perform his business. He uses an another pool company's licesnse but the phone number is disconnected. Many cliennts of ************** suing him for stealing their money and for abandoning the contracts. The sheriff is looking for ************** and he is hiding from police now. At present time, ************** still continues his horroble business harming his clients financially and emotionally. His business should be close as soon as possible and he has to be accountable for his actions. I am not the only victim of **************. He did it to many people. The contract was expired on 6/13/2023. After 7 months, my back yard is ruined and covered with piles of dirt and old concrete. The sprinkle system is destryed. It will cost me a lot of money to fix the damage and complete the pool project by myself. Refreshing Pools and Spas and ************** are a shame for the *******. ************** has to be responsible for all damages he did to people. I would like to provide many documents as evidences to support my complaint and hope very much for your help and support.Business response

This customer signed a formal legal contract stating payment upon delivery of pool, pool delivered late due to the factory. Where would you go first to do a job? Customers who broke the contract and won't pay or customers who go by the contract and pay and let us complete our amazing work. These customers have been harassing us and our workers daily with nasty texts and voicemails. You have to pay to have the job done and this customer refuses so the job will be on hold due to non payment and breaking the contract. We are not being sued by anyone, that is just another lie of which they have been telling people. Our contracts never expire, that is something the customer made up. We would gladly finish the pool if the customer will pay per contract, I added the signed contract to this as well. We have been putting over 175 pools installed in 8 years, the only customers that complain are the ones who do not want to pay like Mr. ************ There is also no time frame listed on our contracts, the pool company that makes the pools were delayed in production, that is why the pool took months to receive. This customer called us almost every day and we showed him proof when the pool will be ready, we did not lie about that. There is no sheriff looking for **************, just another lie from them. We will be suing them for defamation of character for all of these lies spread online if they do not stop.

I paid for my pool install up front. Contractor agreed that I owed him an additional $1799 for additional concrete but has filed a lien on my home in the amount of $10,468.00. I have written proof and photos of the agreement as well as his promises to fix the poor workmanship. My pool deck is peeling and cracking, uneven concrete, never installed the handrail, and was supposed to reimburse me for ceiling fans that he had me purchase out of pocket. Someone hand wrote on the contract after it was signed and the item he hand wrote was already included in what we paid. I have emails from his office saying we owed $1799... but he was allowed to place a lien in an amount that we never agreed upon and that I never signed off on. I have texts to prove that I have been begging that the work be completed, we have uneven concrete and standing water in two corners which is causing mold. He is aware of this all and promised to return but did not. He also signed and notarized a document (attached) saying that I didn't owe him anything- then later filed a lien. I have asked him on multiple occasions to please provide an invoice or a change order and he has never done so. I have no explanation as to why he is now charging me twice for the screen enclosure. The amount of the lien is not ethical nor correct and the workmanship needs to be addressed.
