      i contacted Prestige Trucking Company September 1, 2023 inquiring about getting a policy. I spoke with an agent name *****, he stated he would give me a quote after I didn't except his quote I was given another company Progressive Insurance company. *****, stated Progressive wouldn't take me because I had a ***************** also! I contacted the ****** and ask to revoke my brokerage Company to get insurance with progressive, I contacted Prestige Trucking Company and told them I never had any problems in the past..After two days went past Prestige contacted me and then said Progressive did take me with both Company. I had to contact FMCSA. and reinstate over again losing days work on bids. I Am out of a lot of money based on this company and its agents.

      The insured contacted us for insurance for his trucking company and we provided him a quote and wrote him the policy with an Insurance company effective 09/01/2023, however after the policy was bound with the insurance company, they advised us that due to the Insured having an active brokerage authority, they were unable to offer coverages and issue the filings. However, they could offer the coverages if they no longer had active brokerage authority and coverage.

      The Agent discussed the matter with the Insured and advised him of the available options presented by the Insurance Company and the option to issue him a new policy with Progressive, however, he had a prior Progressive policy that was canceled with a past-due balance that was required to be paid in full to issue a new policy. 

      Based on their conversation, The Insured decided to revoke his authority for his brokerage company on 09/05/2023 and advised the Agent it was revoked. The Agent contacted the Insurance company and advised of the Insured's revocation process.

      The *** tried calling the Insured on 09/05/2023 to further discuss the issue and emailed him to return her call, however, he did not respond. The *** contacted the Insured again on 09/06/2023 and advised him if he is still using his ****************** he will need to maintain his DOT and that we can in fact offer him the policy with Progressive that will not affect his ******************** He then advised her he did reinstate his brokerage authority the same morning and that he would require compensation. She advised him to send her the receipt and she will reimburse him for the reinstatement. The *** proceeded to flat cancel his policy effective 09/01/2023; rewrote a new policy with Progressive and applied his down payment from his previous policy to his Progressive policy.

      The Insured provided us with receipts for reinstatement payments for  $160.00 for both of his companies and we advised him we would reimburse him for the fees paid for his ******************* as we were not responsible for his Trucking Company reinstatement as his trucking DOT # was revoked prior to our Agency issuing the trucking policy.

      We emailed the general release of liability form to the Insured for reimbursement of $80.00 and requested additional proof for the additional amount he stated he paid for his brokerage company, however after several follow-*** with the Insured he signed the form on 09/20/2023. The check was mailed to the Insured on 09/21/2023 for the $80.00 and the matter is now resolved.

      We have enclosed the receipts and signed release form signed by the Insured for the reimbursement amount.
