I gave him $4,000.00 in good faith. He was half way through the job. He told me he could not finish the job and he would pay me the money back. He will not answer my calls or e-mail. His father tells me he does not know anything and he would tell his son *** .All I want is my money back.

Business response taken verbally by BBB:

Customer hired ** for stucco work and gave us a non-refundable deposit. The customer then changed the scope of work which resulted in an increase to the job price and the customer did not want to pay for the increase.

I am rejecting this response because:

I made the complaint against J J Exteriors. I made a mistake and answered the response given wrong. I am not agreeing to J J Exterior excuse why they owe me $4000.00. I did not make a contract for stucco work. I had a contract for block work only. I gave them $4000.00 in good faith to buy the block. They never bought the block and they never finished the job.
I never gave them money as a deposit for stucco work.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

The stucco and Block were all in the same proposal that was adjusted for the customer. His deposit was non refundable and they know this.
when he made serious changes on the job and job was not what was originally bid, the additional costs were presented to him and he rejected them and wanted the work done for original price. We respectfully said no and moved on.

BEWARE of ******** and all his companies:MONTAURO HOLDING **** COASTAL CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION LLC, ******************* **** J&J EXTERIORS HOLDING **** MONTAURO HOLDING INC.I contacted with ******** to do work on my new home. He started out making good progress, moving at a rapid pace. I paid him thousands of dollars to purchase materials. I paid him more thousands of dollars in down payments to schedule laborers so work could continue at a rapid pace. Then, after months of great progress, he slowed progress to almost a complete halt. He made schedules and promises and never met any of them. He made excuses - one after another - which were total lies. After months of delays, lies and excuses, I contacted his suppliers and discovered he never purchased any of the materials I had paid him to purchase. Of course, he had to stop work; since he never purchased the materials, he had no materials to install.Once I confronted him with his lies, he quit my project - refused to do any more work and refused to refund any of my money.Upon further investigation, I found that he is not a licensed contractor. He did the work on my home without the proper licenses.Worse than that, when I took the project over myself and got licensed contractors to give me estimates to correct the issues that ******** called minor punch list items I found that the minor items were very major and it is costing my 10s of thousands more dollars to correct all his substandard, low-quality work.On another very sad note, I found that he did not pay the laborers he hired to do work at my place. I paid him in full, but he did not use that money to pay the workers.NO MATTER WHAT HE PROMISES NEVER GIVE THIS MAN MONEY!And LABORERS BEWARE. Do not work for this man!!!1.He took my money and did not provide the material and labor that I paid him for.2.He did contract work without the proper ************* did low quality, substandard work that requires vast sums of money to correct.4.He walked away from the project and refunded nothing.5.He did not pay the workers that worked so hard on my project.

This customer is a problem customer. What we were hired to do there we did and he still owes ** money for the work. His claims are frivolous. He and his wife also engage in illegal harassment by phone and text messages. We have contacted the authorities about this and they are being investigated as we speak.

      Complaint: 19429404

I am rejecting this response because I have proof of all the payments I made. I also have Home Inspection reports - One prior to ******** starting work and the other after ******** quit my project.
These files exceed the size allowance of the files I can submit with this form, but I can send them in multiple emails or share links to them in OneDrive.

******** asserts that I am a problem customer, accusing me of harassment. How can I harass him? Once I confronted him with his lies, he sent me a text that he quit my project. He stopped answering my calls and texts. He cut off all contact with me and will not discuss refunding all the money he owes me.

Here are the reasons ******** thinks I am a problem customer:
      1. He took my money and did not provide the material and labor that I paid him for.
      2. He did contract work on my new home without the proper licenses.
      3. He did low quality, substandard work that required vast sums of money to correct.
      4. He walked away from the project and refunded nothing.
      5. He did not pay the workers that worked so hard on my project.

The greatest cause of all the difficulties I ever had with ******** is the irrefutable fact that ****** "****" ******** is 100% - without a doubt - a LIAR.
      TRUST NOTHING HE TELLS YOU!!!

He perpetrated a scheme on me as he has many others. He starts the project quickly and makes great progress. He earns your trust and takes money to purchase materials and "lock in" prices. Then, after he has taken large sums of your money, progress slows to almost a complete halt. He has an excuse for every delay, but no progress is made. Then, out of frustration, you check with his suppliers only to discover he never bought any of the material that he was paid to buy. It all becomes totally apparent: He is not working on your project anymore because, since he never bought the materials you paid him to buy, he has no materials to install, so no work can be done. You confront him with his lies, then he quits your project, avoids your calls, and refuses to refund any of the money he took under false pretenses. Then, as a final slap in the face, the workers that worked on your project come to you to get paid because, even though you have paid ******** vast sums of money for materials and labor, he has not paid his workers.

There are many honorable (and licensed) contractors in this world. Give your business to one of them.

I will once again respond to the fact that these owners are actually in debt still with our company. With all the credits given to them for materials returned and unused. Also

the owner was his own contractor and I originally worked for their original General Contractor. We never presented ourselves as a general contractor. He and his BIPOLAR wife continues to harass ** with messages from other cell numbers and other emails

      Complaint: 19429404

I am rejecting this response because I have all the evidence, documentation and proof that *********************** perpetrated fraud against me.

I have attached the spreadsheet documenting all the payments I made to ********.I have all receipts and proof of payments to corroborate what is listed in the spreadsheet. This is a large file containing a list of all receipts for all payments made. If you would like to see them, please provide an email address and I can send them to you.

I have also attached Home Inspection reports - One prior to ******** starting work and the other after ******** quit my project. Comparing these two reports will clearly show that ******** did not do the work that I paid him to do. The later report also documents much of the substandard work that had to be redone.

I must reiterate that ******** should have never contracted to do any work on my home because he does not have any of the necessary licenses to do any of the work that he actually did, nor does he have licenses to do any of the work he promised to do - took payments to do - and never did. To make matters worse for me, the majority of the work that he actually did on my new home was of such abysmally poor quality, that I am having to pay tens of thousands of dollars to have it corrected (which is also documented in the spreadsheet).

This liar, con-man and fraudster must be stopped. He has hurt many others as he has me. He continues to perpetrate his fraudulent schemes and is continuing to hurt even more people. He destroys the lives and livelihoods of everyone that does business with him and leaves nothing but misery and shoddy, low quality work in his wake. He pretends to be your friend, pretends that he is doing you so many great favors, pretends that he loves you, pretends to buy the materials that you pay him to buy, pretends that the work he is doing is of great quality, pretends that the poor work that you see can easily be corrected, pretends that the work that you see that cannot be corrected is the fault of work that was done prior to him coming on your project.

He is nothing good. He is a liar, deceiver, schemer, and fraudster. He is pure evil. Give him a chance and he will turn your every dream into a nightmare. He will steal your money that you spent a lifetime earning. He acts without remorse, without regret, without guilt pure destructive evil!

Everyone must be aware of these 5 facts before they even consider contracting work with ***********************:

There are many honorable (and licensed) contractors in this world. Give your business to one of them.

****** who owns this business cannot be trusted. we have paid him approximately $60,000 dollars and he just quit and walked off the job site. he came up with excuse after excuse for delaying the projects for my new home. he also never purchased the supplies we gave him money for. this was all verified. he also was loaned $10,000 and he paid us back with two checks and put a stop payment on those.

This woman is bi polar and has serious issues. First off we Did not walk off the job. We were working and this lady called the cops on our workers with frivolous charges. Also the accounting shows that they owe us more money but has been paid for services rendered. We will be filing a lien against the house in the future.

I am rejecting this response because: We have invoices to back up what he owes **.  Have text messages that he stated he was not coming back to work on our house.  He quit.  ************* due to his workers using our electricity to use for work on house that is next door.  View the police report.  In *******, a fraudulent lien is considered a felony criminal violation. ******* Statute ****** states that any person who willfully files a fraudulent lien commits a felony of the third degree.  We have an attorney and filing suit against this con artist.  We also had a professional inspector come look at his work and we have to redo a lot of it.  All is documented.  His total owed to us is more than ****** and a loan of 10,000.  We will present our case to the courts!
