This company called our office, claiming to be the 3rd party that services our printer. They gathered basic information from our receptionist to have our employee verify this order on record. However the person they spoke with does not have ordering authority. Once I called the company about the invoice I had received for $651.82, they said that the order was verified, and I asked for a recording of the verified phone call. I haven't received it yet. The company said they would put us on the no-ship list, which I find interesting because we NEVER called them for toner; they contacted us. Now we're receiving an invoice for a past due balance for an unapproved service for a toner that we never ordered. Our copier service sends us toner at no extra cost. I have dealt with a similar company in the past, and it was a scam, and this company is an absolute SCAM.Business response

Dear BBB:
We received your letter dated September 24, 2024. We are not sure why ****** ***** contacted your office, when this matter had been resolved. We had spoken to ****** ***** on September 23, 2024, and she requested a prepaid label to return the merchandise that was authorized by **** ****** on August 6, 2024.
We have credited the Invoice in full out of good faith that the merchandise would be returned. We have placed Solar Manufacturing on our Do Not Ship List.
The statements ****** ***** has made regarding Palm Imaging,**** are simple incorrect. Palm Imaging, **** has full disclosure requirements to eliminate any possibility of a customer confusing us with other suppliers.
Palm Imaging, **** is a service company, which provides among other things, shipping, billing and customer service for independent sales companies. We do not employ any salespeople or engage in direct sales of merchandise.
We do appreciate any information that may contribute towards our continued effort to maintain policy and procedures.

I am rejecting this response because: I have not received a phone call to review the verified order for the toner that **** supposedly ordered like the company said they would. I have not received an explanation for how this $651.00 dollar toner was ordered and the return shipping label I did receive says that I have 48 hours to ship back and I must drop it off at a local *** shop which is out of my way.

Our business was contacted by Palm Imaging Corp (PIC), who stated that they were our supplier of printer toner. ***************** explained that there had been a price increase that we were not made aware of, so we were going to be billed at the original price. Verbal authorization was given because the employee believed PIC were the company who regularly provides our office with toner - they are not. We rent our printer and are provided complimentary toner on an "as needed" basis through that contract. Upon receiving the invoice, it is discovered that our business has never purchased printer toner (or any other product) from PIC in the past. When reached out to for clarification, the company from whom we rent our printer confirmed that we should not pay anything additional for toner, and that they are aware of scams like this being perpetrated on their clients. The practices of this company are intentionally deceitful and vague.Customer response

The business contacted me directly, and the issue has been resolved. Our business is fully satisfied with the resolution we came to with *******. However, we still take issue with the sales practices of the sales people employed by Palm Imaging Corp and do believe that there is something suspect about the way they operate. With so many similar complaints filed against this company, it cannot be a coincidence, nor something they are unaware of. Though situation was fully resolved, PIC and/or its affiliated sales people should not be allowed to continue to prey on businesses in this way.Customer response

The business contacted me directly, and the issue has been resolved. Our business is fully satisfied with the resolution we came to with *******. However, we still take issue with the sales practices of the sales people employed by Palm Imaging Corp and do believe that there is something suspect about the way they operate. With so many similar complaints filed against this company, it cannot be a coincidence, nor something they are unaware of. To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Palm Imaging Corporation concerning Invoice #*****, which we received for the amount of $433.82. The issues surrounding this invoice and the associated sales practices are deeply troubling and warrant immediate attention.Firstly, the sales representative from this company engaged in cold-calling and falsely claimed to be affiliated with *****. This misrepresentation was compounded by their erroneous assertion that I had authorized their call, which was not the case. Furthermore, the invoice inaccurately lists my General Manager, ***** *******, as the Point of Contact. ***** had no communication with their representative, making this information clearly incorrect.These actions appear to constitute fraudulent business practices. Given the seriousness of these discrepancies and the misrepresentations involved, we have decided not to process payment for this invoice. We are prepared to report these issues to the appropriate authorities and have our lawyer, **** ****** *********, involved in addressing this matter.We request that Palm Imaging Corporation rectify these errors and provide a full explanation for the misrepresentation. We received an invoice in the amount of $398.00 for a replacement cartridge. We contacted the company that we rent our copier from & they told us not to pay this company any money since our company is supplied cartridges at no charge by them. They also stated that a number of their clients have been receiving similar invoices & that they believe it's a scam. We have never received a cartridge from this company.Business response

We received your letter dated August 2, 2024. We spoke with *********************** on August 22, 2024, and the matter has been resolved to his full satisfaction. The Invoice was credited in full and Mc 2 Wholesale has been placed on our Do Not Ship List.
The comments in the complaint are simply not the truth. We believe Mc 2 Wholesale has a perspective color by other vendors. The facts are we have a variety of supplies and services that local companies do not offer.

This company is predatory! They (must have) called our business and falsely claimed they are associated with our company to get basic information from whoever answered the call. They claimed they shipped us a toner (for 3x the normal price), and I can't even confirm we ever received it. We are on a service contract through Xerox and get shipments of toner automatically - why would we order toner from this random company in *******?! This company is a complete scam and needs to be investigated. They are now threatening collections and legal action through a company called "Live with Legal" that also seems to be a sham business. Warn your staff not to take calls from this company and report them if they try calling your place of business. What they are doing feels illegal. For the past several months we have all of a sudden been receiving invoices from Palm Imaging Corp stating that we received printer toner through their company and have a balance payable to them. We just recently received a letter making it seem as though we have been sent to a collection's agency for nonpayment. When you call the number for the collections agency all that is reached is sketchy voicemail. when you call palm imaging, they state that they are a 3rd party supplier for toner and speak with our staff over the phone. No printer cartridges are ever purchased through outside companies. We are part of a larger parent corporation that orders all computer supplies, equipment and accessories through internal online ordering systems requiring approval and **. Additionally invoices do not come directly to our office, but to the corporate AP department and the ** numbers listed on the invoices provided is not a ** listed with our corporation.Business response

Invoice ***** was dated 1/10/24. The Xerox supplies where delivered 1/16/24 and authorized by ***************************. The supplies were never returned nor paid. As said above the invoice is credited in full.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I would however like to reinforce that nothing from was ordered by or approved by any staff member. The ordering process expressed by the company is falsified. Over the phone ordering has never been part of our ordering process which includes ordering through internal purchasing sites for approved computer suppliers requiring management approval with Purchase Order. My further understanding from investigating with our IT department is that Palm Imaging Corp is a scam where they ship items not ordered to offices after obtaining the name of an employee and then invoice you for the items received.

Representative falsely advised they were a representative of our toner company and asked to send out a toner cartridge without outlining any price - the first time it seemed to make sense, but they keep calling to let me know that they sent more without us ordering more and long before we've even run out of the last "shipment." They then send an invoice for 4x the market price of the cartridges. This business will call you and ack like they are your toner company and tell you they are sending out toner for you and confirm the model number to make sure they have it correctly before shipment.
