CPA did not include all of our income and I have proof of sending it to her via emails. She insisted she never got it but I clearly have everything as proof. She is not qualified to do CPA business as you can see in my emails. She does not respond in a timely manner, she put in an extension for us even though we did not ask for it. I now have almost 5k in IRS penalty and interest! This was for our 2021 ********** were not aware of her error until 2022. We had to pay another CPA to revise our 2021 taxes and that was an additional cost to us. She refused to provide us any help to rectify this matter.Customer response

My mother and I have given Barbera our tax info late Feb to early March for her to file our taxes for us. She has made it very apparent in her tone of voice that she does not like doing my taxes due to the amount of scanning and data entry is needed. I have reached out multiple times and only able to connect with her once in the span of 3 to 4 months. The one time I was able to reach her, she said she will be "trying to attack it this weekend". That was over 2 weeks ago. We have been trying to contact her with an update on our taxes with no luck. She has not tried to reach out to us with a resolution or even an update on our taxes. We have not paid her but she does have all of our tax documents so we can not go elsewhere since she has our papers. My mom and I have emails and non-answered phone calls proving that we have been trying to reach out but have not gotten a response.Business response

I had prepared his mother's tax return on March 8. His return is very time consuming and to save him from a large preparation fee, I have been working on it as time permits. His tax return is not due until October 15, 2022. He has over 1300 stock transactions to enter and over hundred pages of documents to scan. He will only be receiving a small refund which I had told him. I have been preparing his tax return and his mother's for about 10 years.This summer I have had a long illness and surgery. I have been working 7 days a week to catch up as I am a very dedicated and hard working CPA. During this time it was hard to give him an day it will be finished and I have tried to let him know that when I was able to return his calls. I admit that I haven't been able to return all his many calls. I am not late in filing his tax return. If he wants me to finish it, please let me know. If not, I will give him back the few original tax documents that I have. The majority were downloaded to me from his mother.
