I purchased this new vehicle on November 25, 2022 with only 24 miles. 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. On November 21, 2023 my vehicle was taken in for an oil change and tire rotation. after receiving the vehicle and driving out of the dealership the vehicle was driven roughly 5 miles before vehicle starting loosing power and no response to the pedal and smoke coming out of the ventilations into the car. The oil cap was loose causing oil to spew out everywhere, engine oil dipstick was marking no oil and engine bay was soaked in oil. vehicle was than towed back to the dealership for inspection and found that cap was loose and top fluid off, after receiving the vehicle back the second time, there was a distinct ticking noise coming from the engine bay that was not there before. After driving the vehicle a couple days the noise would get louder. vehicle was taken back to the dealership to check vehicle and claimed it was normal at first and nothing was wrong with the engine than service manager had them check it again and stated that there was a purge valve on top of the intake manifold causing the noise, we told the service manager that what ever was causing the noise we just wanted it fixed. After going back and fourth with them that the noise is coming from inside the engine the service manager said that it could be due to the mileage of the vehicle (******). We talked to another manager and offered us a trade-in or a free oil change due to service manager stating that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. The ticking noise has not gotten any better, my goal is to find a solution to fix my vehicle whether its to repair the vehicle or replace it with something identical it as I love what I have now.

we had performed the oil change on 11/21/23. The oil filter cap o-ring had gotten cut when the cap was reinstalled and caused the oil leak. He came back and the o-ring was replaced and we confirmed that the oil level was correct and then was taken to detail to be cleaned. The customer then retuned a couple days later stating his engine had a knocking noise coming from it. That is when we took the Jeep to ************** in the shop and had 2 of them listen to the noise. They looked at it and when the noise started to occur they placed their hand on the purge valve and was able to feel the valve cycling and causing the noise. They stated that this is a normal noise condition and with the newer 3.6 engines they no longer have the engine covers on them and this is why the noise is noticeably louder on the newer 3.6 engines than the older ones. The cover isolates the noise. The customer was informed of this condition and disagrees with it. If the engine is knocking he would not be able to drive it as the knocking would only get worse. If any more information is needed just let me know

Our driver was pulling into a parking spot and apparently hit his vehicle while at Gwinnett dodge. They did the repair and sent us the bill and we paid it.
If he has any problems with the work that was done, he needs to take it up with them. We didnt do the work, and we even paid for a rental while it was getting repaired.
We are at a loss on why he is contacting the BBB about us.

I took my jeep wrangler unlimited to this dealer for a ticking noise in the Engine. My warranty were able to cover the charges for it and I replaced my spark plugs on my own. My car ended up having to stay at the dealer for 4 days. They didn't not offer me a rental or no type of transportation. Picked my car up, a day later the check engine light came on. I then took it back to the dealer **** plugged up and stated he could not see anything was wrong and could not tell what the code was. A week after that my truck starts engine starts to over heat. Took it back to the dealer and **** told me it was nothing they could do and the problem was did not come from them and the previous work that was done. Before I took my truck to the dealer for the ticking noise, I didn't have any problems with my engine over heating. I have experience the bad service here twice. Everytime I come for a service, I end up having to take it back for other services that I never had problems with until after they are finished. I would like to speak with some one other thank **** the manager because she was not very helpful either. I paid out **** and had terrible services and on top of that the new problem that supposedly had occur was going to be **** which they said that the radiator "might" be restricted which they did not know for sure. That was untrue because ny radiator was brand new. I would like to speak with corporate on this issue and get some help with this repair because I do believe that this dealership had something to do with this occurred problem. It is hard times and I don't have that type of money for repairs and I have to get to work.

This vehicle is a  2014 Jeep Wrangler which the first visit of ***** miles had been to Athens Dodge 5 times. Below are the visits invoices summarized.
On 12/19/2019 @***** miles customer had concern of grinding noise and recall.Customer was advised of repairs needed (brake pads/rotors-brake fluid flush-differential flush-air filter-coolant flush) and declined stating taking back to selling dealer that was recently bought from to try to have them cover repairs. Customer paid $129.95 for diagnosis.
On 09/18/2020 @ **************************** for oil change and replaced front and rear wiper blades. Customer paid $111.17  for service.
On 10/11/2021 @ ****** miles customer came in stating after rear brakes replaced elsewhere feels like driver rear brake is always engaged and has smell. Removed caliper and checked slides and brake function, no problem found. Customer was not charged.
On 02/22/2022 @ ****** miles customer came in with complaint of ticking noise.Diagnosis of left bank cam shaft rollers/lifters. Customer had extended warranty which paid for the repairs, customer paid for spark plugs and deductible $419.47 while Zurich warranty paid balance $2245.96.
On 03/08/2022 @ ****** miles customer came in with check engine light on. Code in system was for NOX sensor stored but not active at this time.  Customer also noted vehicle was running hot, temperature gauge was fluctuating. Tech advised radiator had restriction which Advisor was told had been replaced elsewhere 1 year ago. The overheating issues needed to be addressed before a through diagnosis could be completed to NOX system. Customer was not charged to check.
In summary this vehicle is not maintained and/or serviced at Athens Dodge for all service needs. Other repairs are being done at other repair shops where Athens Dodge cannot and do not know if are being done properly. Repairs are being declined by the customer. There is no service history before ***** miles and 12/19/2019. The repairs that were last noted on the vehicle pertaining to the radiator could cause significant damage to engine if continued driving and extreme temperatures are reached. Athens Dodge is no way responsible or liable for any repairs outside of the authorized repairs that were done at the dealership in which carry a 2yr unlimited mile warranty at any Stellantis dealership.

      Complaint: 16864584

I am rejecting this response because: The response is very unclear and  untrue. Prior to me bringing my 2014 jeep I has 0 problems with anything going on with my coolant system and I car has NEVER RUN HOT! After picking up my vehicle (After 4 days of being at this dealer) ny engine light came on THE NEXT DAY! I brought my 2014 jeep back and **** STATED THAT HE COULD NOT VERIFY THE ***** THEY DROVE IT AROUND AND EVERYTHING "SEEMED' FINE. Nearly a week after I left from this second visit my jeep starts to overheat. I then took it back, and they still could not tell me what the problem was but instead told me that I would have to get ANOTHER diagnosis and the repair for a restricted radiator would be **** 00. It mention in the business response that i told them the radiator was replaced a year ago, which was NOT TRUE. I STATED THAT THE RADIATOR AND THERMOSTAT WAS REPLACED A LITTLE OVER A MONTH PRIOR TO THE VISIT, SO EVERYTHING WAS BRAND NEW. IN REGARDS TO ME LETTING HIM (****) KNOW THIS INFORMATION,  HE AGREED THAT IT LOOKED CLEAN AND NEW. MY complaint it that, I was given very poor service any the issues with my truck was still not resolved. How am I having overheating problems after this delear worked on my ENGINE but did not notice a overheating issue. Overheating does not happen over night and that's why it's poor service. They found not even tell me what was wrong with my 2014 jeep they did IT MIGHT BE A RESTRICTED RADIATOR, THEY WERE NOT FOR SURE IF THAT WAS THE PROBLEM BUT WANTED ME TO PAY MORE MONEY! THIS WAS NOT RIGHT AND THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE HANDLED BY SOMEONE OTHER THAN THE ***** DODGE AND JEEP BECAUSE I DONT THINK THEY KNOW WHAT IS TO HAVE EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

      Sincerely,
