I purchased a pair of *********************************** pants on Dec 5th 2022 from Antidote for the retail price of $690 not including tax and other purchases. When I called the store in the afternoon of December 14, 2022 to inquire about a return, I was told by the sales associate that the items return would denied since the return period is 7 daysbut I was also told I would be denied the option of exchanging or store credit in leu of a return. The item in question remains in its original purchase condition, with all tags and original receipts to accompany the item per the stores refund policy. Being that this initial conversation was over the phone, the item was not inspected by the staff of the store to confirm the original purchase condition. Coupled with the fact that the sales associate whom I was speaking to confirmed that previous items were returned/exchanged after the 7 day period, the sales associate also went on to say that the manager was unable to provide store credit. I then found that this policy regarding store credit is listed in nowhere on the website, purchase receipt, nor was mentioned during my in person shopping experience. Neither the website or purchase receipt clearly state a policy regarding store credit or a time limit to obtain store credit in the event of a return after the 7 day period. Had I been aware that this clothing store does not offer store credit in the event of missing a very short return window, I would not have purchased this item. Had I also been aware that the store previously offered return/exchange after the 7 day period but was not longer interested in maintaining that same flexibility in regards to my purchase, I would not have purchased this item. I believe the option of store credit in this instance would have been the best acceptable action. However, I am petitioning for a full refund (item will be returned as well) as I believe I may not return to be a repeat client to use store credit given this post purchase experience.
