I went to have 9 teeth pulled and have a partial made. While having the 9 teeth pulled there was a very stubborn wisdom tooth that the doctor dug out! Caused alot of pain, bruising, and alot of problems later. I have had a piece of tooth or bone come through the gums once already as it was healing. But it's been a little over 4 months now and I'm having a lot of pain and swelling with this back wisdom tooth that the doctor forcefully dug out of my mouth. I called the office to see what they would do about it and they are wanting to charge me!! I do not think it is fair that I have to pay for something that the doctor said he could do but that an oral surgeon should have done, and now there's something wrong with the tooth area!I feel like this doctor should be willing to fix my mouth if not my partial. My mouth hurts. I should have my mouth fixed!Business response

I had a complete set of Dentures made back in August 2023 as my old dentures were real old and had a broken tooth on the bottom plate. I went to a better set as the ones I had were only around $500 the new ones were $2300.00 still paying on the them. They look nice but I can't eat with them. I wear them when I out with family or church. When I get home I take them out as they are cutting into my bottom gums.I have been back several times and they try adjust them but it's not working. I'm still wearing my old dentures but now they're starting to hurt as they just have pieces breaking off if I knew I was going to have this kind of problem I would have gotten the cheapest set. I only have social security and it's hard enough for me to get by. I hate to write this complaint but something has to done. The longest I've wore them at a time is 1/1/2 days. The teeth does not do me any good if I can't eat with them. I really hope this matter can be resolved without any other complications.Business response

I have been a denture wearer for many years now and I purchased my first set from affordable dentures in *********** **. After I had my teeth removed and had no problems with them. Last year not sure of the date I purchased a new set which was a step above what I had been wearing from the same location and from the very beginning I had problems. The top denture had rough places on the inside and outside and hurt every time I wore them and the dentist at affordable dentures managed to fix the top but the bottom denture was just simply too wide for my gum. I have been back to get them corrected three times giving at least 2 weeks to see if the correction worked which of course it has not. All he wants to do is reline and that has not worked. I have contacted Affordable dentures main office twice and I have received two call from them promising to get the problem resolved they called the dentist who in turn told me to make an appointment which I did and again no success. Bottom line is I have not by any means had the issue resolved! All I want is to be able to wear my dentures comfortably and I cant do that with the dentures I have. All I want is for the bottom set to be repaired or replaced in a timely manner but I will not return to the *********** **. Location.Initial Complaint

I have for 3 weeks trying to get appointment to my bottom denture either re line a new one made since thats where I got them. I have left message after message for a return call to schedule an appointment. No one has called and I cant get appointment. I was looking online for a dentist to replace my plate within my mouth. I came across this dentist office, Affordable Dentists, located on Cascade. I was intrigued by this dentist because they said that their turnaround time for the plate was within 24 hours (1 day). As a hairstylist, that gets most of my business through my personal appearance, I believed that this was my best option, because my old plate had broken. I immediately made an appointment for a free consultation on March 2nd. My appointment was scheduled on March 6th. During this time I had to fill out basic papers to allow for them to continue forward with X-rays which was a part of the free consultation. Also, I was then showed a chart of various dental plates and their associated cost. The costs began at $389 and up to $2k. I wanted to proceed with the $389 however I was encouraged to do another plate at $735 as it was represented to be a better quality plate. I did agree as I wanted to get the best, most affordable plate for myself. I proceeded to give my bank card to continue forward with the next step which was to get a molding done of my mouth. Afterwards, I was asked to come back in 3 hours to make sure that it fit and we were good to go. To my disappointment, when I returned, the plate was too big and the dentist later came and let his staff know that they were putting the wrong plate in my mouth for fitting. I was then asked to come back the next day at noon to re-fit and adjust. I came back as suggested and the plate was still too big as if there were no adjustments. I was told by the staff person that the cost did not associate to quality but with the ability to adjust the product if there were adjustments required. I still do not have a product after going back and forth way beyond the 1 day promised at the beginning of the appointment and according to the advertisement. The advertisement was false and they do are not providing quality service. They removed the reviews.Business response

9:00am was my appointment 9:40am got called to the back 10:20am Doctor came in and saw the partial and asked me if I dropped it I stated no I told him that I dont wear it often because its very uncomfortable,and is something I say to him often.The partials broke while I was washing them to put on.10:40am im a diabetic I cannot hold my pee for long so I had to use the restroom while on my way to the restroom he states where are you going I need to put this mold in really fast so I sit back down but I need to spit before he puts the mold in my mouth and he states no I have to put it in now so he puts it in in a rush very forcefully in my mouth and it broke. Which was very painful. Out of anger he grabs the mold out of my mouth and leaves the room aggressively.Then he states while still out of the room you can go use the bathroom twice loud and angry.11:00am A hygienist or Im not really sure who she is but she has multicolored dreads and his heavy set. She comes in and set a purple mold in my mouth.11:20am tells us that we have to come back at 2 PM to get the repaired partial 1:55pm my daughter ******* explain to one of the receptionist that she needs corporate number to file a complaint. She gives her a card and assures her that this is corporates number where she can follow a complaint.2:00pm while waiting in a lobby my daughter calls the number which is not corporates number and have no way to file any types of complaint.2:15pm A employee of the establishment calls me back and gives me my dentures but they do not fill nor look the same. I explain to her that they are very uncomfortable and they are not feeling well. He states that this is only a temporary that Ill have four year then Ill get my permanent in January.2:20pm she goes back and fix them for me a couple times to see how it works also the lady with the dreads come im and Tries to get the partials out while they were fixing it because they were very hard to put in and get out.The lady *Initial Complaint

My denture was delivered to be on or about December 28, 2021. I was told that I had 60 days to have adjustments made at no charge. I was in the office once after that, on or about January 19, to have an adjustment made. The denture was too high in the roof of my mouth and was causing severe pain. I went back to my temporary from 5/2021. In February of this year, I felt a hairline fracture in the roof of the denture. I called the office and came in on March 3. As I was in the chair, I heard someone say that my denture had been dropped. (It had not been.) Final word however was to one of the assistants to prepare to send it back to the lab for a reprint. After a follow-up call about 3 weeks after this visit, I was told that this had never happened before, and they had no clear direction about how to handle the situation. I was told that they would follow-up with me. After a second call, I was told that the lab had been closed the entire time since I brought the denture in (about 30 days now) They had no idea when it would reopen, however no one had followed up to advise me of what was going on. I was told that they would repair the denture (in-house) and call me when it was ready. I did pick up the denture, again after I called the office, about 2 weeks later. It is coated underneath where the fracture is, but this is not a satisfactory solution. The information in the office specifically says that there is a 5-year warranty on theses dentures. I have contacted Patient Relations and spoke to ******* two times. Her last call to me on April 18 was to let me know that West ******* was working on getting a relationship with a new lab and would contact me in about 3 weeks. I have neither received a call from the West ******* Office to follow up or from *******. I am in the process of getting a new appliance with another company.gInitial Complaint

Transaction Date 11/02/2021 Amount ****** It was stated I would get a full set of top dentures. However, I got dentures that was much to large. I asked them to remake them so they would fit. They tried to do a relining still that it did not work. I can set my old dentures inside the new one. Still much to large I keep biting my bottom lip. I cannot wear them; I cannot eat with them without constantly biting my bottom lip. Also, one side of the dentures is bigger than the other side. I've tried contacting the corporate office but to no avail. They gave me a number for ******************************** in customer service I made several calls to her but to no avail.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I want a refund I do not want an adjustment they tried doing adjustments and it did not work. Please give me my money back the service was horrible!!! I wish not to do business with this company!!!! The office called me today and would not allow me to speak with the doctor over the phone concerning my refund. This is not good customer service and they have lost my business.

Mislead that I could get implants after gums healed. Then told after almost a year that implants were not possible then given bottom dentures that are ill fitting and impossible to wear. I have not been able to eat solid foods for over a year, lost 30 pounds and now have a protein and other vital deficiencies due to poor diet based on what I am capable of eating. I also have digestive issues now and often cannot finish a meal due to not being able to chew food and becoming sick throwing up during meals.
