      One of my biggest mistakes as a homeowner has been hiring Terry to repair and repaint my pool. We had a few delays and communication issues, but he repaired a leak and repainted my gunite pool, and it looked great. However, in July, the paint began chipping, and my pool seemed to be slowly leaking. We agreed to wait until the end of the season to drain and address it. There was a one year warranty on the work, so it wasn’t a problem. The paint continued to chip and peel. Mid-October, we began planning the repairs, but, despite texts and emails and promises, no one showed up to drain the pool until November. The pool was drained at that time, but again, communication ceased. After multiple texts and emails and me expressing my concern that I would be pushed aside with springtime pool work, warranty work began in March and was completed at the end of April. When I saw the final work, I assumed that they had run out of paint and would return later to complete the job, but when I contacted the office, they told me the job was in fact complete. In the words of the employee who completed the work, “You can start filling it. I know it looks terrible the way it’s touched up.” The initial paint job was beautiful, but the warranty work is quite the patchy eyesore. I was told that the chemicals and sun would fade it to blend over time. Isn’t the purpose of repainting the pool cosmetic, to make it more aesthetically appealing? I plan to list my home for sale next year. I don’t have time for it to fade and hopefully blend over time, and I shouldn’t be asked to do so. The company is now refusing to answer my emails, and I am left to pay thousands of dollars for someone else to do what I paid Terry to do in the first place. Their invoices state, “Our goal is to treat each client as family and to do our work with honesty and integrity. We truly love what we do and want you to feel the same.” Unfortunately, my experience has not been a reflection of this statement.
