I drop my truck to them to have an engine rebuild on July 18 2023. I was told it would be a 3 week job. After about 10 day I followed up was told theres an issue with the starter which caused a delay I sent a new starter to be replaced. Now truck had no starter issues before I drove it in. Was told another 5 days or so and it will be done followed up after that in 5 days and another problem that cause delays. So about every 10 days or so they were delayed cause of some issue. So I was told truck was ready for pick drive out to get and wasnt ready and this was September 2. After setting a deadline I was able to pick up truck on September 6th. Sounded horrible worse than it did when I drove it in. *** said it was cause the lifters were new my AC didnt work cause all the Freon was emptied out in the rebuild and they were unable to recharge the system. Will driving truck home and stopping for gas I notice I was leaking coolant which they blamed on bad radiator but radiator was only a year old and had no leaks *****. I reached out numerous times about concerns about the repair of my truck I was rudly spoken to by the wife of the company. Then my calls and texts went unanswered. I also sent a formal request prepared by my attorney that went ignored. Now the phone number I have is disconnected. Upon a visual only inspection from another mechanic there are no signs of a new rebuild. No new seals dirt and oil still on engine block. Bolts with out the seals being broken on themInitial Complaint

I contacted engine builders 51 / ********** and *************************** for a complete engine rebuild. They said it would be **** plus 100 to install a clutch. So I dropped my truck off with them. After about 3 months I was contacted stating my power steering pump burst. So I would need to send money to have that repaired. A few days later I picked my truck up. After getting home that day I picked my truck up oil is all over my motor. Contracted them, ********** said it was the valve cover and that I needed to find one. So I find one and have it towed back to them for repairs. A few weeks later I go pick my truck up and its drinking like a gallon of oil a week and smoking like crazy. So they tell me to bring it back and they said they cant figure out why its drinking so much oil. So they said they would have to take the motor back apart. So I pick my truck up a few months later . The day after I get it home its skipping, stalling and other things. So I have it towed back. They say the block is warped and have to get a new one. A few months later get my truck back and the same thing is happening.I take it back, fast forward about 14 months in all has pasted. They guaranteed me I would not have any more issues, and that it was running flawlessly .1/21/2024 picked my truck up heading home motor went out started knocking. That day they stop answering my calls and text. Theres a lot more that went on I was just trying to keep it short.Business response

Good afternoon,
Mr. ******** hired our company to rebuild the engine in his older model **** Ranger. We rebuilt the motor and it wound up having a leak from one of the seals. Since we dont normally drive the vehicles, the leak may not show up until after the vehicle is driven for a while and gets up to pressure. He brought it back to us and we opened the motor back up and changed the failed seal, changed the timing again, put on new mains, connecting and new gaskets throughout, new oil pump, basically doing another complete engine rebuild. When he brought it back again for an oil leak, we changed pvc valve in the side of the block that caused the leak. He brought it back again the 3rd time under warranty saying that it was burning oil very badly. We changed the rings again. We put in clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearings, pilot bearings and we put in a new thermostat. We worked very hard and was exceedingly thorough the last time we had it. We ran it for hours to ensure that it ran very well and had zero leaks. It ran very, very well when it left here. We were super excited to give his truck back to him knowing that it ran better than any other time. There was no reason for the engine to blow upnone at all. We believe that he no longer wanted the vehicle and purposely blew the motor up so that he could get a refund to buy another vehicle. We have spent well over the $1,500.00 that he paid us to rebuild the motor. All the other parts outside the engine we paid for out of our pocket and we didnt charge him labor to replace them either. We will be happy to refund his $1,500 less all other parts and labor that we covered which more than exceeds the $1,500 he paid us. I will be happy to provide receipts upon request for proof of what we spent.
