My mom contacted JDM Auto Transport And Logistics to transport my daughters car from ************* ******* to **************** for an August date. Once she received the information she turned the procedure over to me. I contacted the company to proceed with the transport procedure. I was told that they would b able to get the car transported and that once a driver was found I would receive a call from JDM. I received a call stating that a driver was found and that I needed to pay a $100 deposit for the agent fee (which I did). I gave my mom's credit card information since she was paying this for my daughter (her granddaughter). I was then sent an email with the drivers information and told that the driver/transport company would contact me a week before the pick up date (which was supposed to be August 15th, 16th, or 17th). I decided to contact the number on the email of the driver/transport company. The first number was not in service. I called back JDM and was told that a mistake was made with one digit of the number and was given another number. I called the number which was Horizon Transport *** I was told that they had no records of any car being transported from ************* ** to *********. I then called back JDM and was told by ***************** that he would call the company and get back to me. I have not heard back from him. And now that I am trying to contact him he is not answering my calls. My mother has also tried reaching him to no avail. I have told my mom to call the credit card company and cancel the charge to her car as this seems like an unreliable, disloyal, business. This is why I am writing to the Better Business Bureau in hopes that this company does not do this to anyone else. My mom's card was charged on April 28th immediately after I gave the credit card information to ***************** over the phone. The balance due for the transport of the car was supposed to be given to the (so called) driver on the date of delivery of the vehicle to *********.Business response

Hello ***************,
We did our best getting you a truck driver company willing to come for your vehicle on August, the truck driver wasn't already assigned since it was too far on the date to make an assignment, but we proceeded to secure the spot crossing the $100 deposit. That you have decided to cancel way before the pickup date is not our problem anymore nor Horizons problem. They just couldn't free a truck driver's information without even having knowledge of the especific truck driver taking the route, once again, on August. It was very well explained to you that the assignment was going to be made one week, exactly one week before the pickup date on August and we stll are on May.
Our apologies goes aimed to the bad experience you have autoproduced to yourself based on the way that i assume i gave you the information. I will try to be more especific and clearer the next time we have to serve you.

I received and read the response from JDM auto transport. Yes I was told that I would be contacted one week prior to a pick up date for my daughter's vehicle. But the fact that I called the transport company (Horizon) and they had no knowledge of any vehicle under my name being transported by them set off dishonest alarms. Also, if you did have the company supposedly transporting our vehicle why weren't my calls, my mom's calls, or emails answered or responded to? If our deposit was based on you having a company and/or driver in place then when I contacted the company (Horizon) they would have had some information about our vehicle. They knew absolutely nothing about transporting our car. You specifically told me that you had a driver, immediately charged my mom's credit card and proceeded to give me an invoice with a number to a transport company that I called. All I want is my mom's $100 refunded back to her card. I have attached pictures of what was sent to me by *****************. And I do not want to do any business with this company now or in the future. Furthermore, I would not recommend this company because of dishonesty and misrepresentation. It saddens me that this has happened and now I am in the number of dissatisfied consumers that have to report something like this to the BBB.
