I bought a car, right after the 3 month warranty was up, the engine locked up. Was told I need a new engine. They said I have to cover the cost of the new engine. We worked out a payment plan. After I paid 1600$ down. I got the car out of the shop. A month later, the new engine locked up again. Now the dealership is giving me the run around. Wont answer my calls, when they do they just tell me that they are waiting on the shop. They wont give me any information on the shop or let me contact the shop for information. I havent had the car for a month now and I need transportation.Business response

********************************* purchased a vehicle from us, Texas Trucks and Autos LLC. The day of the sale it was explained to him that the vehicle was sold as is and us as a dealer did not offer any warranty other than one month for any repairs stated in the contract. About three months later we receive a call from ********** mother stating that the vehicle started having issues. We explained to ******** and his mother that the dealer would not be able to cover the needed repairs since the one month warranty had already expired. They asked us to take it to the mechanic we work with to get the vehicle checked and they would cover the expenses therefore we did. The mechanic checked it and said that whoever did the oil change used the wrong oil and that had messed up the engine. We explained it to him and gave him the option that we could look for an engine with the auto parts shops we usually shop at but he would have to cover the expenses. ******** agreed to that.
When the vehicle was ready we test drove it to make sure it was functioning correctly. Once we were aware that the vehicle was functioning correctly we got in contact with ******** to let him know he could pickup his vehicle. He then asked us for a payment plan since he was not gonna be able to pay the full amount for the repairs. We agreed to give him time to pay and let him took the vehicle. He drove the vehicle and never complained of it not working properly after a month he called us and stated that the car had stopped working and he needed to tow it back to the dealer. We stared a claim with the auto parts shop where we got the engine since the engine had warranty for certain miles. They sent a mechanic to check the vehicle and told us that the engine had exceeded the miles required for them to cover therefore they will no longer be responsible for the damage. On May 16, 2022 we let ******** know that the warranty claim for the engine had been declined and he told us he no longer wanted the vehicle.
