I told freight center how much product weight, when saia ltl accepted the shipment, pretty sad that you have to up charge, not happy with service on either part of freight center or saia ltl on there service provided, I deliver freight my self and I think this is poor quality serviceSaia LTL Freight Response

SAIA is by far the worst company to deal with for freight. This company had a driver show up at our shop, pick up equipment, the equipment was fraudulently charged and picked up. Our company found out what was going on and got the equipment stopped and requested to be returned due to everything about that shipment was fraudulent and the person that used fraud ordered the delivery. SAIA turned around and charged us over $1500 for a fraudulent shipment, order, and return!!! Will never use this company again and we ship things daily!Saia LTL Freight Response

I've been in the sporting goods business for 24 years in northeast **. My latest freight delivery was a load of ammo from one of my distributors in **********, ** which the SAIA driver refused to drop because my shop is at my residence, even though I have a current federal and county license to do business. The delivery is now on it's way back to LA and will have to be shipped again by another carrier. This is the first time in 24 years I was refused a shipment. **** ** *** ** *** ********* *** *** ***** ******** ***** ******** **** ***** *** ***** ** ***** The only way to stop this is to hit them in the wallet, and I'm contacting every business I know to tell them what happened and encourage them to stop using freight companies like Saia.Saia LTL Freight Response

Terrible. 100% Unreliable, and 1000% Unprofessional. 3 days in a row I have LTL blocking my docks. 3 Days in a row the scheduled SAIA pick-up never shows up. I will never use SAIA again. My National clients will all be told that we do NOT accept SAIA at our docks, and and SAIA trucks they book will be turned away. ALL SAIA BUSINESS IS HENCEFORTH REFUSED. You want to mess with MY business and waste MY time and money? RIGHT BACK AT YOU. You lose us, and everyone we do business with, and with over 100 years under a belt, that's not a SMALL list.Saia LTL Freight Response

SAIA Shippers Beware! We own a manufacturing company and use several ltl shipping companies. Saia stands alone on the bait and switch . We measure our pallets on video before shipping out. We ask our customers to measure the pallets while videoing on the pickup end. So we know the exact dimension before and after the shipment. Saia offers a low shipping quote and then changes the dimensions of the pallets then bills a $350 fee for the new dimension that they lie about. Rinse and Repeat. The *********** Hub is where the crime is being committed. Advice that I can offer . Keep several ltl accounts with different carriers. Keep video logs before and after the shipment. Eventually these types of companies end up in a class action law suit. You will have video proof of the fraud when it happens. ***** is honest . Old dominion is honest . Xpo is honest . Horrible company. Doesn't show up when scheduled, No prior call on actual delivery day abd then refused to deliver...wanted to leave 600 lb package in middle of street blocking traffic. Rude supervisors ***** and his supervisor told me to go ahead a write a bad review.. Sent employee with wrong equipment to offload and then tried to charge for refusal of delivery.Saia LTL Freight Response

WOW!! I don't even know where to start, we shipped over 600k in a few months, only to have them come back with huge back charges, we have a dimensioner with cameras, so we know we're pretty accurate with our dimensions, now they want to report us to a collection agency for their errors, save yourself the grief and don't use them, they won't budge stating they're correct, the problem is we rarely have disputes with our other carriers as we have everything documented with photos. These guys are the biggest rip-off in the industry, I would give them no stars if it were possibleSaia LTL Freight Response

Had a delivery of 21 boxes, but only 20 received. They have denied my claim, citing another company is responsible and I have to file my claim through them instead. They have been very difficult to work with. Personnel were fine on the phone, but I was given an old email address for contacting the claims department. This has been going on for 4 months. I wouldn't recommend them for shipping your products.Review from Amit A

Really bad company to use for transportation. They first lost our cargo for about a week in **********.Then they randomly found it in some other location a week later. I noted that there was a spelling mistake on the delivery address. So I called and informed about it. They told me it would be $50 to change the address. I said it is not a change of address but a spelling mistake. However, the guy did not accept that and said that it would be considered a change of address and it would cost $50 to me. I refused since it was so silly and illigical.Finally, I got my shipment a week later after it had gone through 4 different trailer changes in between. When we finally got the shipment, some of the boxes were bad damaged and inside content was damaged as well. I still accepted the shipment assuming that everything would be there.However, 2 days later after I went through everything, I found out that there were 9 boxes missing. I was told by SAIA customer services representative that they do accept the responsibility of the lost boxes and I need to provide exact details of the content and file a claim.So I filed the claim but after 6 weeks, the claim department denied the claim saying that the pallets were shrink wrapped - so they believe that they are not responsible for the loss. It was such a stupid response that I can't even believe someone will come up with such a BS excuse.TOTALLY a FRAUD company..Review from Zebbra P.

They are overcharging by extreme amounts. We were quoted $344.60 from **** to hold a shipment going to a customer of ours because they wouldn't take it for 4 additional days. We agreed to pay the $344.60 for holding the the shipment the additional days. After the shipment was delivered **** came back and billed us an additional $1,166.42 on top of the original invoice of $2,281.35. They broke it down as $600.92 Storage $344.60 for a Warehouse consolidation Fee??? NEVER from any carrier have we been charged for this fee which they explained to be a fee to deliver our order of 2 pallets to a Grocery Warehouse.$243.15 for detention because they had to wait we were told over 2 hours, then they said it was 277 minutes, after questioning they came back and said it was only 51 minutes. After going back and forth and asking them questions about all the charges they refused to honor their quote and we are stuck with paying the additional charges. We will not be using them again.
