Piedmont Physicians of Kennesaw (PPK) told they wouldn't authorize refills for my life-preserving blood pressure medication, unless I made a new appointment with them. Their reason was that they needed to do bloodwork so that they could see how my organs were functioning under my current dosage. I have not been feeling sick, but I was forced to make an appointment so that PPK could authorize my pharmacy to refill my prescription.On the day of my appointment, the attending nurse noted my weight, & took a reading of my blood pressure. The doctor listened to my lungs, and looked inside my ears, and mouth. NO ONE took my bloodwork. However, they charged $370 for the visit.I take my own vitals' readings at home, for free. Yet, they refused to accept my own readings which were almost identical to theirs. Obviously, they'll always differ slightly throughout the day, depending on what I've eaten, and activities I do before taking my reading at any point during the day.I requested an itemized bill so that I could see what made this bill so excessive for only taking very simple measurements not involving ************* or analysis from a lab. Labor for replacing an alternator in a car costs less than what this office charged for doing stuff I do for free at home.They have ignored my request for an itemized bill.Business response
