I paid for a termite bond for 10 years, now we have active termites and Northwest says they will not cover the cost. Now I have termites and damage that should have been covered. The persons sent by Northwest were very hostile and immediately said it was not covered.

We contracted Northwest to exterminate spiders in our home beginning in late June 2024. We started the service a week after purchasing the home, asking also if brown recluse were present in our house. They treated our home on June 28, 2024 and setup a $75 monthly charge to our credit card including 1 visit every 3 months. The exterminator didn't see any brown recluse, so he set glue traps to check for brown recluse. A second visit was never scheduled and they didn't provide further information. We called in late August to setup our next visit because we had never heard from them, and they came on September 12, 2024. The exterminator showed us lots of brown recluse in the traps and said the office would contact us for another visit. With no communication for 2 weeks, we called to find they had no record of our home having brown recluse. They said a technical error deleted an internal email about it and scheduled someone to come out a week later. Today, I received text messages an hour before the visit with no further information but the cost. They did not answer my followup questions about the service. Ultimately, my wife canceled our monthly contract with them. The company informed her that they never charged us a $499 from the beginning of our contract, and they had to charge the fee because the service was rendered. They charged our credit card despite us explicitly not giving authorization because we feel the service was not rendered. We saw no change in the prevalence of spiders in general, and the company never followed up to check the glue traps for brown recluse. I consider this a safety issue for my family, and I would like a refund of the $499. They didn't charge it until we wanted to close the account 4 months after we started the service, and I do not believe they provided the service we agreed upon. I believe they just wanted our money and am not sure they would have ever given us a second treatment unless I called and made a fuss.

I have had quarterly pest control services with Northwest Exterminating for over 4 years. In January of 2024, I made a payment for services of $95.00. I received a text message in April of 2024 requesting that I call to schedule an appointment for my pest treatment service for the quarter. I called and scheduled the services with no issues. After the pest control services were completed and I received my invoice, I noticed that the amount was $10.00 more than I had paid the previous year. I called Northwest Exterminating and told them that I was not informed of any increase (the previous year I received an email from Northwest indicating the price for my services would increase from $92.00 to $95.00). Also, I was not informed that the price would increase for my account when I scheduled services for the quarter. I was told that they did not send notices out this year and that we (as customers) were still obligated to pay the increase in fee. I contacted the business to waive the $10 fee and they have refused. To force customers to pay increased prices for services, without properly notifying customers of the change in pricing constitutes poor billing practices. Please see documentation attached.

The previous homeowners for our property had a contract with Northwest Exterminating (NWE) for pest control and a termite bond. When we moved in, we did not renew with NWE and instead used another company. They removed the old termite stations and installed new ones.Since January 1, 2024, NWE has called us numerous times regarding our renewal, despite explicitly telling them that we did not and do not intend to renew. Their agents showed up at our house on three separate occasions to remove the termite stations, despite them having been removed by the new company. They also showed up at my mother-in-law's house in a DIFFERENT city on March 11th trying to get in contact with us. We have called the office numerous times to no avail. On March 12th we spoke with ******* again and were assured we would never hear from the company again. However, on April 1, 2024, another agent came to our house, despite the notes on our file saying not to contact us.I believe this constitutes harassment at this point, and I will call the police the next time one of their agents enters our property.

In fifty years of homeownership and of hiring contractors for home repairs I have never encountered a more unprofessional, incompetent and rude company to do a job than Northwest. This company was hired to deal with the squirrels that had gained entrance into my attic and to put exclusion up to prevent them from getting into my home. They were hired in December of 2021 to provide squirrel exclusion (squirrel proofing) services. It is now September 2022 and squirrels are running around in my attic today. Not once did this company ever go up into the attic area of my home. What they agreed to perform and accomplish was never performed competently or successfully. They did shoddy unseemly work on the exterior gutters of my home (pictures included) devaluing our home property with their incompetent work, damaging gutters and a slipshod method of "exclusion". I had two employees come to the house to discuss the job with me and when I pointed out an area that I was promised would be addressed (by putting exclusion wire over it) the one employee suggested cramming wire ** in the vent. When I reminded them that it was discussed that exclusion wire needed to be put over the wood frame surrounding it he began yelling, screaming and cursing me. I requested that a technician finish this job properly at that time and was promised by the "boss" of the two employees present that it would be taken care of. Never had anyone come back to do the work properly but only to come and demand payment. I paid ****** of the 2,****** they wanted for this job but have not paid any balance owed because the problem has not been taken care of. I don't have any faith or trust that this company is competent enough to actually successfully exclusion of squirrels into my home.of I have been billed for this work for a over and over again that was never accomplished successfully, professionally, or reasonably. It is now September of 2022 and there are squirrels in my attic today.

I recently filed a complaint against Northwest because the salesman misrepresented the services I agreed to have. Upon pointing out the dishonorable acts of the salesman to their corporate office the secretary was very ***. Taking a stance where it seems they are aware of the deception and condone it. I allow Northwest more than enough time to reach out to me; as requested per Northwest in the previous complaint. I have NOT heard from them directly only continuous threats from their lawyer who has no knowledge of the BBB complaint nor Northwests response. This is just a horrible situation with a very deceptive company.

I called for service, a consultation was provided, and I was told service would be $300. I paid the service fee and signed for my service. During the consultation I was asked if my issue continued would I like them to come back. I said sure, meaning if a problem comes up, I have no problem letting them know and requesting additional service (since at this time I would not know if I needed more treatments until we do this one). The company called me a few months later to come out for what they said was part of my treatment. I was never advised this was an additional fee until a **** arrived in the mail. At this point I contacted Northwest several time to rectify and even called their corporate office. The woman advised me that a quarterly treatment plan was setup and that it could not be canceled. She stated I was obligated to pay even if I refused services. I explained to her no one ever told me about a quarterly plan. She said I shouldn't have signed I tried to explain the rep talked about the pest issue, told me $300 for price and asked if I would like them back if I needed them before turning the tablet to me which only showed me a line to sign. There was nothing for me to read there but she refused simple logic and now lawyers are calling and emailing me about a contract I was swindled into.
