Trutech tried scam my wife while I was out of town. Came by for an estimate for a few birds living in our bathroom vent upstairs and some bird mites. Quoted us at over $4000 because they "had to bring out two guys" to spray the vent shaft and snap on a new cover. Part of me almost gave in until I asked for a quote to just do the spraying and they still came back with over $3000. For 10 minutes of work. They wrote me this long email trying to convince me it was justified. Then I had the job done for $400 in 30 minutes. Truly despicable business practices to try to take advantage of people. Luckily my wife is reasonable and saw this is was a scam too. Wrote them emails asking for an explanation. Crickets.Review from Rosalinda H

Techs are OK, but management is poor. Billing department is horrible. Kept sending me billing statements when I have already sent them a letter with a bank statement attached showing they have withdrawn payment already. They don't notify you when a tech has called out and when they finally get in touch with you (after I've called), I was told the tech was at my house at the allotted time because they have a GPS that shows them that. What a lie!!! I have written them another letter telling them I am cancelling my subscription to their services.....to come and collect their traps.TruTech, Inc. Response

*************************, my Trutech technician, responded immediately to my call. A rodent was alive in my living room. ******* removed the rat. Also did all the normal services. I could not ask for a better person to service my home. I can not thank ******* enough for his prompt attention to my needs. He saved my day and a client for the company. If ******* was not so prompt and reliable, the company would have lost me as a client.***************************Review from Steve001

This company is a scam! They also go by the name of Critter Control here in ************, **. This ** address was on our contract. On December 8 2023, Critter Control sent a sales guy named *************************. He was here for 40 minuets assessing the situation and said he would get a quote to us. Over a month went by with us trying to reach him. No response. Finally I called to speak with a exec from the company and someone named ***********************, the Regional Customer Relations Lead for the North East spoke with me. *********************** finally got ************************* to send an estimate. He wanted close to $3000 to install a few cages around openings in the property where the raccoons were likely entering. It was ridiculously high, but we desperately needed to get them out, and were promised they would help. They asked for a $1700. deposit which we paid. Then ***** disappeared again! After 2 months of no response, I finally called *********************** again and she got ***** to finally send someone. They installed one tiny cage, for a small squirrel, that was it! There was a major hole which ***** said at the estimate was likely the main entry for the raccoons, and was most important to cover. This was never done. Then ***** then told us he wanted the electric company to cover the main service wires, running next to the house. The wires aren't close enough to the house to interfere with what they needed to do, but we complied. That took a couple of more weeks to have done. This was in March. Again ***** has disappeared! Three weeks ago I called and spoke with *********************** again. She said she call him and get back to me. After speaking with her, ************************* called back and said someone would come out the following week. Three week later and we have not heard from ***** or ******. We want a full refund from this fraudulent company and ************************* and ****** should be fired! We hope we can avoid suing Critter Control in small claims court, but they are leaving us no choice.Review from Gail T

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ****************************** ACCEPTANCE **** WE GOT SCAMMED. We signed a contract with RAC (******* ************** for 18% for 36 months @$108.45 per month starting March 15, 2024. We provided our debit business card as a down payment of $1,121.70 leaving a balance of $3,000 for financing through RAC. On March 4, 2024 TruTech withdrew an additional $2,065.83 from our business checking account; which bankrupted our company. We never authorized TruTech to withdraw any funds other than the deposit on the contract between TruTech and *******. TruTech will not call us back or communicate with us. We have been going through this for well over a month. We have not received a payment book regarding the monthly payments. Our business payments in our checking account are showing insufficient funds This is fraud. Stay away!!TruTech, Inc. Response

So luckily I didn't sign their contract and get scammed out of thousands of dollars like so many others that left reviews. If you read their contract very closely, there are multiple mistakes in it. Improper English...incomplete sentences...****** left blank...authorization to charge my credit card any time they like...saying they inspected the interior of my house without even going inside (how can you do that). Definitely not the work from a professional legal department or advisor. An educated 12-year-old could have written it better. I marked up the contract and asked them to correct the mistakes before I would sign it. I was told "the legal department could not make any changes." REALLY!!!! Why would you ask me to sign a legal document with errors? This contract is not only to protect Trutech and their schemes for fraudulently getting your money, but it should also protect ME from the harm you as a company can do to me by not upholding your end of the agreement. While critter removal companies are not in great number, ANYONE is better than this company. AVOID AT ALL COST.Review from Rick K

I second the prior reviews here. This company is *********, ******, and terrible customer service -- you should avoid at all cost!In July 2023, we noticed bird sounds from our fireplace and an unusual number of flies in our home. Upon contacting our regular disinfection company for assistance, they referred us to Truetech Wild Life Service.Upon inspection, Truetech claimed we had bats in our home and presented us with an extensive and costly project contract. On July 26, 2023, I paid a deposit exceeding $4,000. The company visited our home only twice:August 22, 2023: Their local branch sealed slightly more than ten holes in our house. On this day, without prior notification, they charged an additional $618 to my credit card. I recall two or three workers who completed the job in under three hours.August 31, 2023: A single worker sealed the final hole and adjusted our chimney cap, contrary to their promise of installing a new one. This worker also sanitized our attic and fireplace, spending no more than an hour. Notably, before this visit, we had removed a dead bird from our fireplace ourselves.Just last week, I received an invoice via email, demanding payment of over $900. Attempts to reply to their email were unsuccessful (bounced back). I've communicated my concerns about the discrepancies between the contract and the actual work done via text with the individual who drafted the contract. He acknowledged the oversight and promised a refund. However, the proposed refund amount does not align with the overcharges, and as of now, no refund has been received.I am growing increasingly suspicious of Truetech Wild Life Service's business practices and am concerned that they might be operating a scam. Be VERY careful when dealing with this company!Review from Elizabeth V

Worst experience EVER !! I hired Tru Tech in Aug of 2022. I was told the entire process would take 2 to 3 weeks. I was still having issues in Jan 2023. I was trying to sell my deceased father's home and encountered critters in the attic. I paid almost $2000.00. Now, in order to sell the house I have to pay half of a $6000.00 bill to ********** in order for them to take care of the still ongoing problem. Tru Tech not only DID NOT fix the problem but is going to cost me an additional $3000.00. Terrible service. I WANT A REFUND !!!! I have tried to resolve this and cannot get anyone to call me back.TruTech, Inc. Response

We apologize for the experience you have received. The Region Manager contacted and offered to return to your home to assess what needed to be done however, you declined as the buyer of the home had already contracted with another company to do the work. We apologize for any inconvenience and a refund has been initiated and is being processed.Review from Karin O
