I paid $350 deposit to the City Of Palmetto when I moved into a rental property in the area. I received a statement in the mail, Which was basically my final bill and it stated that the final bill was taken from my deposit amount of $350 which left me with a credit of $133.49. I received that bill on July 9 of 2024. I called on July 16, ****************************************************************************************************************************************************** the mail then to come by there in a week to pick it up, but to call first. I called and called and called. Today is August 19, ***************************************** check form. I gave them my new forwarding address, but someone that works there said they are having issues with the mail system So I told her that I would just pick up the check. I havent spoken to multiple people and they are giving me the runaround. Every time I call they take my name they take my address and my phone number and they tell me that somebody is going to call me back in regards to my check, but they never call back. I lost track on how many times I have spoken with them. I called today and I asked to speak with a manager or a supervisor and the representative put me a hole for over six minutes so I hung up and called back and they would not answer the phone. This was around 12:30 in the afternoon. They kept sending me to voicemail. It is hard to get in touch with someone who has information in regards to my check and when it will be available for me to pick up. Either the check is not signed or the check is not processed or somebody who was handling processing the checks isnt there anymore. So many things going on with the company and no answers as to what when and where. I am not happy and would like to file a complaint. This isnt how you handle business. I am wondering if theres something deeper going on that should be investigated as far as why they are not sending people their checks.
