I gave them a 17,000 deposit for a pool on May 6th my contract states the pool package I paid for would be here in 3 to 5 weeks. I contacted the company they order pools from and they told me they canceled the order twice once on May 20th and July 11th for lack of payment now I would like my money back but they keep giving me a run around and will not give me my 17,000 they stole the money and had no plans to do a pool for meInitial Complaint

On May 6, 2022 American Pools received a $17,500 deposit for pool installation. The check was cashed on May 6. After many inconsistencies the pool kit was finally ordered June 7, 2022. The company never requested permits for the job and planned on starting on July 11th. On July 10th we informed the company that we did not wish to proceed due to the many untruths which were told including the permit which was not obtained. There was a balance of $5812 owed to us after the cost of the pool kit. ***** from the company agreed to return the difference minus some made up fees. She was supposed to meet my husband with $5000 and has since cut off and blocked all communications with threats of filing harassment charges against us. We are NOT the only family they have scammed and have had a history of fraud in the past as well.
