Thank you bringing this complaint to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the concerns of the customer. We will request a meeting with the customer in effort to discuss her broader concerns about the class/program and work to reach an amicable resolution. I would like to point out the school is institutionally accredited by the ****************** of ****** Education Schools (ABHES). In fact, the school was granted a renewal of accreditation through February 2029. This accreditation affords us the authorization to operate all our programs, including the program the customer is part of. As for JCERT accreditation, is a programmatic accreditation, which is not required for us to our Radiologic Technology. However, it should be noted our school does intend to apply for JCERT accreditation. A Radiologic Technology program must have been operating for at least one (1) year to apply for JCERT accreditation. Our program has only reached the one (1) year **** in January 2024. So, the school does plan to commence the process very soon.Initial Complaint

I am a dental hygiene student at Fortis College and I will be graduating in 4 months. My classmates and I have worked hard to get to this point and have been through a lot of changes over the last 2 and a half years. We have been through 3 different program directors which caused our graduation trackers to be changed 3 times. To this day, we have not been given a clear answer on what tracker to follow. The new program director, *************************, started at our school around November of last year. Since then, she has been making constant changes that are almost impossible to accomplish. She recently stated that if we do not complete the competency and patient completion requirement by the end of the module, she will fail us from the course. Even if we have a passing score in the course and only have one competency to complete, she will still fail us. This is very unfair and unethical of her to do if we are already passing the course. Some of these competencies are patient specific meaning I can not just take certain comps on just any patient. Patients must meet the requirements for us to be able to perform the competency. For example, I only have 2 comps that I need to complete that I have not been able to do because my patients have not qualified for the calculus removal comps. We do not know what calculus level our patients are until they are in the clinic chair. It is already very difficult to find patients who are willing to come in, so we are going to bring in whoever is willing to sacrifice their time. I was recently told that ************** has made a document that she wants us to sign stating we are at risk for failing the course if we do not meet all our requirements by the end of the next week. It almost seems like she wants to fail students on purpose. We have spoken to the **** of Education at our school about the situation and he was completely on Ms. ****** side. He also did not take our concerns into consideration and agreed to whatever she was saying.Business response
