I've had USAA renters insurance since moving into my apartment (***************) in 2019. On March 7th, 2023, I submitted Proof of Insurance (POI) on APEnroll.com. I can find no record in either my phone or email history of any correspondence about this submission. On April 14th, I was emailed by my apt. that no renters insurance was on file. On April 15th, I re-submitted my proof of insurance at APEnroll.com, captured the confirmation *************** and emailed those with proof of insurance to my apt. Again, I can find no correspondence from APEnroll. On April 25th, APEnroll emailed me stating, "your enrollment has been processed," when it appears I was enrolled in a new ***************** policy to which I had not agreed, and had twice submitted my information to avoid, and AssetProtect began charging me $15/month.I noticed this fee on July 8th and emailed AssetProtect asking that the policy be cancelled and all fees refunded. On July 10th, I received my 1st notice that, "YOU ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE", due to the **** box of my landlord having changed, and an email from **************************** asking if I wished to cancel because I'd gotten insurance from a 3rd-party. I uploaded POI with the new address, and again asked for the policy to be cancelled and all charges to be reversed. On Aug 19th, when my USAA renters insurance was renewed, I had no notification apart from an email again that "your enrollment has been processed". In addition, I was charged a "lease violation fee" of $12 on 9/1 and again on 10/1. *************** informed me that they are unable to remove the fee on their end.I resubmitted the **** and emailed the confirmation screen and POI to AssetProtect on Oct 4th. I was told, **************** team is working on a solution.", and the same when I asked for the status on Oct 19th, but fees remain on my bill and it's affecting my lease.I would like all charges refunded and removed from my bill.Thank you for your help.Business response

Our company partners with your apartment manager to provide a compliance solution to review and monitor the renters insurance policies of its tenants. We process the documentation that we receive via email, website upload and/or via USPS. If multiple documents are submitted, the order in which they are handled may not be in the correct order of events causing a timing issue. As a processing service, we do not have the ability to revere charges on your apartment ledger. Please provide proof of continued coverage to your property manager who can work with you to fix the issue.Initial Complaint

I am not liable for this debt with Leaseterm solutions. I do not have a contract with the agency stating that I would pay them or owe them any money. They did not supply with the original contract as requested.
