The ficticious moving company JF Moving/Storage (https://jfmovingstorage.com/about/) at email address ************************************* received payment of $860 to deliver a piano that had been offered to us by a ficticious woman named "***********************." After considerable email dialogue with "***********************," we paid the $860 to have the piano delivered. It turns out that both "JF Moving/Storage" and "***********************" are ficticious entities. When googled, the "head office" address they provide on their website turns out to be something else entirely. There were no documents involved other than email exchanges, unfortunately. This is outright fraud, and a scam. I have demanded that my $860 to be refunded in full. Needless to say, I have received no further replies from JF Moving/Storage. I am investigating legal options here in ******, but I would also be grateful for anything the BBB might be able to do to help shut these scam artists down, so that others will not be vicitimized in this way. Johnny comes to our home address, since that is where our things are, and collects the deposit. He brought his sons along. On the day, he calls and tells us that he needs to reschedule because he couldn't rent a moving truck, and told us that he would have to reschedule us for the next day. He then proceeded to ignore and my texts and calls. Turns out his business registration has expired and has been scamming people serially.Initial Complaint

I scheduled to move a sofa and love seat with JF Moving Services on December 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Johnny Franklin, the owner, asked me to pay a deposit of $300 (Venmo), which I paid on November 3, 2021. On the day of the move, JF Moving Services DID NOT show up! I called (the same day) to get a refund, since the move never happened, and Johnny Franklin said he would refund my money 24 hours later. He has not yet refunded my deposit, even after multiple requests. How is this person still allowed to do business when he's not doing his job?!!!!Initial Complaint

On July 22, 2021, I paid JF Moving Services $1,560.00 to move some furniture (a tansu, a dresser, and a carved chest) from our residence to our son's home in *****, **. To date, the furniture has NOT been delivered. Repeated calls and texts to JF Moving Services have been futile. I have asked Jonny ********************** what happened to our furniture. On December 19, 2021, he texted that our furniture is in a storage facility in ***************************************. He texted that *** Stroke (341-1929) has the keys to the storage unit. But our furniture STILL has not been delivered. One of the reasons we used JF Moving Services is because his business card indicates that he is an A+ Accredited Business, approved by the BBB. I have supporting documents but I am low-tech and don't know how to upload them.Initial Complaint

If moving moved our stuff from ******** to ************* in March and container took six months and we discovered many items missing as did many other customers. They stole a hand gun when loading truck. For months the owner Johnny Franklin had been promising me restitution of a full refund what I paid him which was $*******. I estimate upwards of **** dollars worth of goods. Never made here and others have told me the same thing that he was stealing and auctioning off this merchandise. I will file a complaint with the *** as well and this enterprise has stolen merchandise from many people and I am demanding a refund from Johnny Franklin for ******* and any other compensation. Available. I will send what documentation I have and the name of another on of his victims that contacted me.
