      I encountered this company as I needed to comply with state regulations to get back on the road. Not only was this company beyond reachable when necessary after signing up with them. The exact day my bill was paid to them biweekly, I would wake up to a violation. In which would take me to the shop to pay additionally, nothing about this company was; helpful, easy, reliable, friendly, needless to say the service center breached confidentially and was stalking me on social media as well as Linked In. Creepy. I do not feel safe in the least having used this company with not only my bank but also my confidential information such as *************** number.

      It all started out with me acquiring a car that had an Intoxalock system installed from the previous owner. I did not have any information on who that previous owner was. I did not have their name, address, phone number or anything as it was previously an impounded ********** get the Intoxalock system removed and back to the company I called Intoxalock and attempted to get them to come out and remove it. Have talking to 5-6 agents, I finally got one that could make that happen. We worked off of the *** of the car since I did not have the previous owners Intoxalock account number. I was told they could send out one of their independent contractors to remove and take the system. I was then told that I would have to pay the contractor $100 for their fees, however, if I got a receipt and then sent it to Intoxalock via email, they would refund me for that $100 contractor fee.The unit was removed by the contractor "*******************" on the morning of August 22, 2024. The contractor was quick and did a fantastic job and then continued by sending me the receipt as requested. Since that day, Intoxalock has refused to refund my $100. I have called customer service a number of times, spending hours on the phone. I have emailed a dozen times to the email address I was given as well as emails I could find online. When I get someone to answer me at this point, which is rare, they tell me they will not send me a refund since I personally do not have an Intoxalock account and the system was not in my name. That was never said at the beginning. If I would have known that from the get go, I would have just removed the system myself and would have skipped the hours on the phone and emails. I was going out of my way so they could get their system back. I am just looking for my refund check that I was promised by Intoxalock since I did everything they asked of me.

      I a judge out of Grundy county TN signed a order for me being indigent and intoxilock has over charged me from day one,I was ordered to pay 30 dollars a month by honorable ******* Tray ******** judge out of Grundy county TN, ******* Tray ******** judge signed a second order for me to be released from intoxilock and due to them getting upset because my complaint,I am still being scammed by intoxilock, considering the damage to my license and what intoxilock has over charged my estimate for compensation would be ****** dollars.

      On 10/16/24, Intoxalock's management team contacted Mr. **** to address his concerns. We apologize for any negative experience he may have had and any frustration it caused.

      During the discussion, we explained the financial assistance process for the State of Tennessee. After a judge approves participation in the indigent program, the court order and an indigent affidavit must be submitted to the ************************************ (****). All court paperwork must be dated within 90 days, and financial assistance is not retroactive. Mr. **** also experienced lockouts due to power interruptions, which he attributed to his vehicle sitting unused for extended periods. As a result, his refund request has been denied.

      Mr. ****** financial assistance paperwork was processed once it was approved by the state and billing was adjusted accordingly.  Intoxalock gathers the paperwork and then submits it to the state who is who approves it.  Once approved, our accounting department adjust the lease charges retroactive to the date it was approved.

       

      The fees outside of Mr. ****** lease charges that he is claiming were overcharged were prior to the approval of the financial assistance paperwork being approved by the state and lockout fees incurred.  Mr. ****** account was credited $170.91 on 10/16/24 leaving a small credit balance.  The remaining balance on his account is after a $59.99 administrative closing fee.  Intoxalock has cleared Mr. ****** balance and there will no further compensation.

      This company Lied about their original rates. And then up them as soon as I signed in with them. Because they do not have professional installers installing their devices a installer fried a board in my brand new truck costing me $3000 And they avoided liability with that. They had to return money to my account multiple times that they took unjustly The one time I had proof my truck was on camera parked and they said I missed a blow At the time it was parked. That is just one example Then they came up with a fictitious date, possibly because they were slow to do the paperwork on purpose That conveniently landed on the 19th when It was supposed to be on the 17th and I have one of their employees on recording agreeing with me And penndot Agreeing with me That fictitious date of the 19th was wrong and it just happened to fall on a Saturday In which a person from ******* sent them an email requesting my data, but no one was conveniently there to send it to them And that it would take two business days before they could send it out. Which takes me over a week past my sentence date . And is making me feel trapped and hopeless. When emailing people and talking to people, I am met with nothing but rudeness And get the runaround There are multiple people from multiple states going through the same thing I have six children and need a medical procedure and I wont go in because I do not want these people trying to steal more money off me They also tried to get me to renew a lease For a whole year costing me $1400 on the 16th Where are they getting these dates from? I will never know, but I am asking the BBB. To be on alert and look for similar cases, such as mine. This is a horrible company, highly unprofessional, and I dont remember if I said their equipment is faulty, and I believe it is designed to be faulty because there are too many people complaining of it !

      Hello, I'm a 45 year old single mother, and i have a 5 year old with special needs and health problems. I was already struggling financially before I got a D.U.I. so now I'm just in debt and more stuck in life than i ever could of have imagined. And i don't even drink and that's what the machine is for. I don't get it. But anywho... I had an interlock installed on my 2011 ***** Accord on June 6th 2023. I immediately had problems with it. It would drain my battery and leave me stranded with my son in the hot desert heat, over a dozen times. I would have to get jumped and it would violate me and i would have to get it unlocked. I have missed so many of my sons *************** account was set on automatic pay so i don't know why that stopped. I didn't stop it because i was told I couldn't. The last payment was on September 7, 2023 of $97.98 then I don't know what happened. But my car stopped working around that time and its been parked ever since. I would drive down the road in it and the car alarm would be going off. All these fees and charges and $500.00 for insurance has put me and my family in debt. And I also have title loan on this car that I couldnt pay, therefore them having to repo it and I had to pay $800.00 to get it out before it was auctioned. After that the electrical got so messed up it wont even start. I still have the device in it. I cant afford to pay my bill and definetely cannot start over again. I have been without a car up until a few weeks ago when i finally got some help and was able to get another car but cant even drive it because the *** tells me I didn't even get credit for all the problems and headaches and breakdowns I have had to deal with so now I'm just....I honestly don't even know the word... its more than stuck its like on the verge of having a mental breakdown of some sort. i do not have a clue of what I do next so I thought I would give this whirl. I dont know what Im asking for, just need any type of help whatsoever.Please.

      On 7/22/24 their interlock device presented me with an error code(WV30.20) in which it would not allow me to start my vehicle. After contacting their support team I was informed the device was defective and I had to replace it. In order to do so I would have to get my car towed to the nearest shop that installs these devices and pay for the towing and new device ($229.63) and submit a request for reimbursement since THEIR device malfunctioned. After submitting the request for reimbursement and confirming with the customer service manager the correct email while on the phone they stated they never received the invoice. After calling back and confirming the email once again they had me sent it to another email address who would then send the invoice to the manager for review. I was informed this would take 3-5 business days in which after calling a 3rd time to confirm receipt they again stated they didnt receive the invoice. On 08/08/24 their new device presented me with the same error message in which I had my car jump started so I could get to the nearest shop in which I had the device uninstalled due to an inconvenience and harm to my vehicle where I was then charged $289.33 and an additional $66.77 to close the intoxalock account, otherwise i would be getting billed for renting a device I no longer have installed. Upon calling them and confirming this is an error with their handheld device and also submitting an invoice for reimbursement due to their faulty device I was then told they have not received any emails stating such a thing. I have all emails and receipts for service in regards to this issue and would like to be reimbursed in full at the very least but would also like to be paid for the 6 hours of time away from work and inconvenience this has caused. Total for services: $585.73 Total lost wages at work: $38/hr x 6 hours is $228.

      To whom so ever it may concern Respected Dmv Officer,My name is *********** ***** having CT license # *********** have ********************** Iid and according to the service logs and DMV notices as attached that I need to prove 2 violations were not a fault of driver 1, violated section 14-227a-12a (28) (H) dated 9/17/2024 2, violated section 14-227a-12a (28) (B) dated 10/1/24 I *********** ***** is contacting DMV in writing to contest and appeal both violations. The intoxalock device was giving wrong codes and acted unusual thus intoxalock was notified on 9/21/24 to inspect the device. ************** was ordered to have device inspected and was drop of at the cdls location on 10/1/24 for services and they have found faulty device in the car.Intoxalock was notified for replacement device asap but did take them 5 days just to ship new device and have it installed at service center. ************** started working on the card on 10/8/24 @ 3:29 pm and competed work on 10/9/24 .I have requested the call log from them proving the device was faulty and was replaced but intoxalock refused to provide me with call recordings and will only release it DMV or authorities. And they have agreed to pay for transportation cost to service center and back was in to the recording but was refused to cooperate according to refusal email that is attached too.I *********** ***** will truly appreciate attention to this matter and ask intoxalock for voice recording from 9/3024 to 10/10/24 to prove consumer frustration of faulty device and because of the situation caused loss of employment too.I am requesting Better Business Bureau and DMV to further investigate the issue with intoxalock.Thanking you,*********** *****
