Gem State Eyeglasses gave me incorrect prescription eyeglasses that caused undue discomfort (headaches and migraine). From my understanding, my optometrist gave the correct prescription; however, the office staff ordered me the wrong prescription glasses. I was unaware of this and used the wrong eyeglasses that I was given for almost a year. I suffered a lot of eye fatigue at work which I believe is directly related to my incorrect prescription. I also suffered from migraines throughout the year and I'm not sure how much of that can be attributed to the wrong prescription I found out about this error when I got my new and correct prescription lens from my August 2nd, 2022 appointment. I made a comment that I thought it was the wrong prescription because it was way too strong. As it turns out they gave me the wrong prescription last year and my eyes havent adjusted to proper eyeglasses.Gem State ******** profited from me while giving me improper medical care.The person on the front desk was unapologetic, she said she will call me back and give me a resolution but never heard back. I was charged for the eye checkup and the eyeglasses and received the wrong prescription. They offered to give me a refund and to remake the sunglasses to resolve the problem. However, when I went it get my glasses replaced last week, they said it was too late to do it and offered to move me to a different provider.I should at least be compensated for the damage caused by using the wrong prescription glasses and a refund for the money that me and my insurance were charged for the incorrect glasses.
