On May 9, 2024, 7:30 PM. I placed an order on the mobile app. Everything went through, it even gave me an update telling me my food was ready. When I arrived at Dennys on *************** in ********, The parking lot was empty as well as the restaurant. So this franchise accepts money for mobile orders making you think that youre getting a service which you do not. This store is closed and yet it still took my money. I called corporate. I called their parent company, and I have still yet to see a refund. Better yet I have not been contacted by anyone, other than the auto populated email that was sent to me after submitting a comment on their dennys.com/contactus page. Ive only been able to speak with a live person once. Their hours are very limited of what they work at corporate. I dont think this is legal for them to do. Im sure Dennys will no longer be in business here shortly That is probably why no one answers the phone at corporate, this restaurant is closed, as well as their parent company has no life person that you can talk to. I will get my refund. And I will never eat at Dennys again. It doesnt matter what location it is. I will never eat at Dennys again. What a shame. If they paid their employees decent money instead of ****, the business probably wouldve thrived like it used to back in the day. ***** wins again.Initial Complaint

Purchased a meal for $13.86 total, then used my aarp card for a15% discount making it $11.78 total.I paid with a$50 dollar **** and received $11 .22 in change,put it in my pocket and left for home 50 miles away.when I realized I had been short changed 2 hours later I called and the cashier apologized and said the manager would call within 24 hrs.No call,I then called 7 times but no one answered the phone. I then filled my complaint with Denny's corporate 800 number and was told I would receive a return call from them within 5 days,no call.On the12th day I called back and they asked me to give them another 24hrs for the manager to call me, no call. I am looking for right change totaling $38.78.The managers name is *******************@ ************. Denny's corporate is ************.There I spoke with *****,a very nice young lady.Business response

Hi.
We do apologize for the situation and I have spoke with *** regarding the mistake and have also spoken with all team members involved in the situation and have spoken with them about the importance of handling money correctly. Our office is mailing *** a check to his home because he does live 50 miles from our store.
I do appreciate you reaching out and I look forward to hearing from you and also Thank you for assuring that Our most valued guests come first as this is what We strive for here at Denny's is putting Our Guests first and building Great Teams.

As of this date,12/17/21 I have not received a check for the mistake made at the cash register.That was 15 days ago and have not received any response from them explaining what the delay is. Still waiting for a resolution.Customer response
