In 2022, we hired Old World Stone Design **** *******************, to do numerous stone projects at our home. **** provided us a bid of $137,860 on 6/24/2022 to complete the work. On 7/5/2022 **** requested and we provided a $25,000.00 deposit, in good faith, toward the projects. We discussed that the bulk of the project would be completed in season 2022 and the remainder to be competed in spring of 2023. In the fall of 2022 and the spring of 2023, we paid **** and additional $18,038 which was payment in full for the project work completed up to that point. **** last worked on our projects in March of 2023. Since then, we have called and texted him numerous times and he has not responded. On May 15th, 2023 we sent **** a certified letter stating that we were no longer going to use him on our projects and that we wanted our $25,000 returned. We did not get a response. In late May we tracked **** down on another job and came to a gentleman's agreement (and hand shake) that he would give us the two pallets of stone, which he had purchased for one of our projects and that he and his team would stone our 3rd car garage addition to work off the remaining deposit. We asked that the work be done by the end of July. He said he would work at our home after business hours and on weekends to make that happen. In July, **** did drop off the two pallets of stone. But, he has not done any additional work. Since then he has been ghosting us for several monthsnot returning texts or phone calls. We have hired another masonry company and they are well on their way to completing all the projects. We are asking for your help in getting Old World Stone Design **** ******************* (the company has now been placed in ********** name, *********************) to return the $25,000.00 (minus the cost of the two pallets of stone estimated at $2,000 - $3,000). Thank you in advance,******************************** and ***************************
