We hired ***** remodeling in April 2022 for a start date of July 11th 2022. We paid several payments to the Licensed contractor for a kitchen remodel ($18,800 paid). We sent a letter of demand requesting the following to be paid back due to making our house a danger and needing to find new sub contractors to finish the job. We have had no response.Total clients needed to fix the damage created: $9,555 We know that ***** remodeling paid $9100 to subcontractors so we are not requesting that money back (plus gave him some extra) We are requesting the following after each project that he attempted took several tries to get correct and wasted our materials. Additionally, we were skeptical of his electrical work so we got a second opinion. A licensed electrician came in and confirmed he put us in extreme danger. In addition to putting our house in danger, he cut corners and often commented " you didn't ask me to do it correctly" which brings us to this complaint. Luckily our family has contacts that checked his work and helped us realize his work was not up to licensing standards. We would like money refunded to fix the damage he did that we have since repaired as this is not professional standards and should be reported to the licensing department. Here is a list of other things he did that are not acceptable: Skipping coats of mud behind cabinets on over half the drywall- tape visible (Photo documented)Leaving a leaking sink after demo on top of newly laid laminate flooring, despite clients asking for it to be fixed several times (Photos)Clients needing to re-sand mud (video evidence)Installation of broken laminate flooring in kitchen multiple times (photo documented) on 3rd try it wasn't completed-clients completed Altering the invoice without client consent (photo evidence)- deceptive practice Installation of electrical not to code and not working ( Pictures, professional second opinion)*We have many more pictures, video availableBusiness response

Good afternoon ***************** last I spoke with your Husband ****** we were trying to come and take a look at the work at your home. We asked serval times for a time to come and walk the job with you guys. I was never given a time to go through the work. We were asked to install three outlets and move a switch. We installed the switch and installed the outlets. We asked much later after the work was done to install a dedicated circuit. The work that was being asked of was much more then what was originally discussed. We are still owed over $5000.00 for work performed on your home. You bring up a leaking shut off valve the valve was not leaking it was shut off properly. **** came back into your home and redid all the flooring that was asked of us.

I am rejecting this response because: we hired you as a professional, licensed contractor. We gave you 3 attempts to drywall and sand which I said were not up to professional standards. I gave you 3 attempts to get the laminate flooring laid correctly (without gaps and with non damaged pieces) and eventually hired someone else to come fix. I gave you 3 attempts to install the electrical correctly and requested that you have a licensed electrician come because I was frustrated with your work. You did not do that so I did. The licensed electrician verified that you installed it incorrectly and dangerously. This complaint is because of repairs I needed to do for quality work and for our safety. I have seen a very different level of care and professionalism displayed by the new contractors that validate that your team did not act appropriately. We have been told that our expectations are within reason and that when hiring a professional it is understandable that they are knowledgeable and can properly determine the scope of work needed for a project and how to complete it if accepting the job.
Sincerely,

******* was gone over and was discussed with your husband ******. We have photos showing what was performed with your drywall. It was told to us that you didnt want to change the scheduled time for your cabinet installers. The electrical was spoken about and **** offered to come take a look at it. I asked to come take a look and I was never given the time to do with nor was **** allowed to take a look at it. The flooring was gone through several times and signed off on being done. We never given time to go through the job. Few times I attempted to go through with you I was told you didnt have the time. I have kept photos of this project all the way through.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: nothing was ever signed off on. There are zero records indicating we were happy with any aspect of your work. In fact we have loads of proof of the opposite. **** is a plumber, not a licensed electrician. Again, this complaint is because you demonstrated that you do not hold the proper construction knowledge to be operating in peoples homes despite being licensed. You put us in danger and we confirmation of this signed off by the city inspector. We welcome you to upload proof of your claims as we uploaded pictures of your work. Unfortunately what we need and deserve is a refund for the work we paid you to do that you were unable to complete. We are protected under various laws and are asking you to act ethically as we believe you know that you did not perform in a professional manner which is why you asked to try again in so many instances. Its not expected that we offer you a third time to complete a project. That is unprofessional in all industries. I invite you to show the state licensing board the requests for you to repeat your work multiple times to get it right. Im sure the pictures we have documented of asking you to try again will not but up to their standards and they too will encourage you give us a refund.
Sincerely,

******* we have not received any photos showing anything. We have photos showing the work that was performed. You had someone working on the electrical pretty quickly. We tried working with you on your husband. We were pushed off the job site we were working on. Every time anything was asked about we did our best to go through it. I tried several times to speak with you at your home. Every time I tried to go through anything I was told you didnt have the time and you were working.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:my husband has 20 pictures sent to you all regarding quality issues with the work done. I was more than available on the initial days of the project. When you required my constant input multiple times per hour, I asked my husband to be the point of contact after. causing me to gal behind at my job.. We got a second opinion a week and a half after you refused to get one regarding all electrical work done who confirmed along with the city inspector that your work was not up to code.
Sincerely,
