7/1/2023 - 9/26/23 $1170 paid for services I worked with **************** office for over two months who said he would put me back with my son. After 4 individual sessions, I was without notification, passed onto another Dr in his office. After expressing my displeasure with his services, I was shouted at and kicked out of his office. I have never been treated with so much disrespect in a ********** before.Business response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. Due to HIPPA confidentiality issues I am unable to respond specifically without releases to do so from several different parties who are involved. Generally speaking, the services provided through my office when working with difficult family dynamics do not nor cannot have any guarantees of success due to the multiple variables involved. Also, and generally speaking, my office utilizes a team approach and for various reasons different therapists may be involved over the course of treatment. In the event that one therapist cannot accommodate scheduling for a child (i.e. not having available hours outside of the normal school day) a different therapist from the office may be engaged who has those available hours. Sometimes therapists are assigned due to their experience and/or expertise in different areas. Most clients appreciate having a therapist with requisite skills and availability during the hours they (or their child) are able to attend.
We work with many very difficult cases and with many parties who are dissatisfied with the Court system for not meeting their needs. Fortunately in many situations the parties involved are respectful of the process and eager to have the opportunity to engage in the treatment and intervention that will hopefully enable them to accomplish their goals. Unfortunately, some parties are angry to the extent that they are unable to accept those many aspects of complex treatment that are outside of their control. Those parties will sometimes communicate in a manner, through email or otherwise, making clear their aim is to exercise control and get their way versus being able to work with their clinical treatment team to address the issues they have been asked to address.
Finally, and specific to this complaint, there was no shouting. However, clients who are disruptive or disrespectful may be asked to leave our offices just as I imagine is the case in any business.
