Made a $250 deposit for a venue and called to cancel two days later. Restaurant claims it is nonrefundable. Did not sign a contract nor any other document that it stated that the deposit was nonrefundable. When we complaint with the credit card department. The restaurant provided a statement that I never saw nor signed that stated non-refundable, besides it was in Spanish. I believe they made this statement up when the credit card put a hold on the $250. They refuse to refund the deposit. I am asking to provide proof that I was informed that it was non-refundable. The only thing I signed was a credit card receipt. I will upload all documents. I have blacked out any personal information on the documents.Business response

12/10/23 6:53pm Went out for dinner with my family ordered parrillada de los reyes when we ordered we specifically asked for no beans with our order and no nopales or cactus when we received our order it had cactus on the tray the waitress noticed and took it back to the kitchen. When she came back we notice there was still cactus on it. I asked her if she could remake it because i really dislike cactus and the taste it leaves. She took the tray back and i saw the kitchen was just removing the pieces of cactus so i decided to ask her for the check because we were not going to eat it like that. She brought the bill and i was being charged for everything including the parrillada that we didnt get back or eat at all from. I ask why and she said we had to be charged for it because we ordered it. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager The manager refused to come speak to us. They removed the parrillada from the bill but charged us for what was suppose to be a complimentary salsa and the guacamole that we ordered. I then told the waitress that if i was going to be charged for the salsa and guacamole i would like to take it home she said that she already threw it away i asked again to speak to the manager and the waitress told me he did not want to talk to me. I approached the owner and asked for a reason and he said everything that is brought out has to be thrown away there for he was going to charge me. He gave me attitude sat there with his arms crossed. I proceeded to pay. I am very dissatisfied with the service and attention from this restaurant their form of handling business and attitude towards customers. I would like to receive a refund from them because i dont believe i should be getting charged for food i did not consume and food that was thrown away by the restaurant without being able to take it home if i wanted and being charged for aomething that was suppose to be complimentary.
