In August 2024, we engaged with several companies to secure a solar solution before the impending expiration of 1-1 net metering in our area. Ultimately, we chose Midwest Solar (MWS) based on their proposal. They set up financing terms and provided a link for us to apply. However, we were not presented with any options for the loan structure, as this had been dictated by the ************ we approached our installation date with enthusiasm, we were unexpectedly contacted by the project manager in early November. We were instructed to reapply for financing because they had "included a dealer fee that we are now avoiding." Its important to note that we had already signed agreements with both the lender and *** at this stage. I was then presented with two unrealistic choices: either pay 30% more for the project or opt for a financing option that significantly increased the interest rates, potentially adding up to $40,000 to the overall cost of the 25-year loan. This also meant our monthly payments would almost double from what we had initially agreed upon.This was completely unacceptable. We attempted to negotiate with Midwest Solar to find a viable resolution. I even offered to cover half of the 30% fee, but their only response was to reduce the project cost by a mere $700. This left us without any real solution and resulted in the loss of our opportunity to have the system installed before the 1-1 net metering expiration. Overall, my experience with Midwest Solar was a complete nightmare.

I would first like to say that it is important to check on the BBB any company that you are interested in doing any work you are planning on having done on your project. I was lucky when I called a company to do our solar project I finally checked on the BBB and found that that company was not reputable and I was able to stop that project from happening. Later on I checked on the BBB and found Midwest Solar Solutions had an A+ rating with the BBB and I called them up and set up an appointment with them. They were very excited to have us as customers and answered all my questions. After speaking with them the first time I had more questions later on and they were glad to come back out to answer them as well. After my first experience I was not going to just jump into another bed, so to speak, before having all my questions answered. I even asked for a couple of references that I called on before I signed the contract with Midwest Solar Solutions. I can not say anything bad about Midwest Solar Solutions. The workers were very knowledgeable and polite. All of them wore company shirts and were very professional. They answered any and all my questions. The work was done professionally and when they went on breaks and lunches they did not leave my residence. They stayed in their truck and was not gone for a long time. I also appreciate the help they gave us doing some extra projects that they did not have to do. The workers kept things cleaned up and did not leave a mess for long. They did not use anything that was not theirs to work on and they cleaned up when they were done for the day. Midwest Solar Solutions is a great company to choose for your solar system needs.

Hi everyone considering solar installation. I can not say enough good things about Midwest Solar Solutions. **** was our point person who is very knowledgeable and so very patient. I can tell you I was very thorough in my consideration of a solar system and I threw so many questions at him thru this who process. He was so very patient with me and explained every step along the way very well. The guys that came out to the property to install were very courteous and very hard working. They explained their part of the process, and answered my many questions. **** walked me through every phase from beginning to going live and was super responsive. The inverters that they use have the ability to monitor output to the house as well as usage and what is going over to the power company to be returned to me when needed. It's a great way to watch your savings in real time. They also monitor the system and can know in an instant if something is not producing as it should and will be able to pinpoint the issue and rectify it right away. They choose to use superior product and get superior results. And the warranty is far above most. You can not go wrong with Midwest Solar Solutions.

I was put in contact with MW Solar Solutions by a few coworkers who had nothing but good things to say. I reached out for an quote and soon received just what I was after. I had contemplated buying equipment and installing it on my own, as their competitors prices were substantially higher for much bigger systems for unknown reasons, and I had no interest spending close to six figures on a solar project. The project quote I received was reasonable and their proposal package sold me when I realized the economics of the system with the warranties included for materials and service. Everyone I spoke with from proposal through installation was great and very customer service focused. Several weeks after signing the contact and walking through the project with ***, the system was installed by their team who were on time professional and courteous individuals who I'd be happy to work with any day. Fast forward a few months and the system is working as good or better than was proposed, resulting in power bills ranging from $0-14 over the last 4 months. I'd do this project again, and I would choose MW Solar Solutions every time because of the experience I've had with them.

**** was the first person we interacted with from this company. I guess hes a sales person, but he was more an educator for us. He explained everything about solar in such great detail. His knowledge is remarkable and we never felt pushed into making a decision. Fast forward a few months and we now have panels on our roof and are reaping the benefits of the sun. Truly a first rate, professional organization that kept us in the loop of what would happen next. ***** at their office was very helpful with paperwork, etc, and the guys who installed the panels were great. Would HIGHLY recommend Midwest Solar Solutions!

Im one to really do my research when it comes to working with a Contractor and when I pulled the trigger and decided to go with Solar at my house I reached out to three reputable solar installers for bids and to discuss my options. I ended up going with Midwest Solar Solutions for several reasons. For starters ***************** is not a high pressure sales person. *** met with me and discussed my options and then stayed in touch with me, not in a pushy way as opposed to another company that I called that pretty much reminded me of a used car salesperson calling me everyday. Instead *** really worked with me and respected the process I was using to make my decision, huge positive checkmark in my world. Next, his contract is fair. *** worked with many contractors over my life and my wife, being an attorney, has read every contract Ive signed. This is the only one that she has responded back to me that this is a very fair contract. A very pleasant surprise and another big positive check ***** Secondly, **** crew is the ultimate in professionalism. Respectful and responsive. Third positive check ***** Last but certainly not least the price was fair and the work completed down to every detail perfectly. The Ameren utility rep even commented when he came to energize the system that usually he has to come back out twice with other installations because it was hooked up wrongnot in this case, he was done in 10 minutes, switched it on and asked who the solar company was. This is probably because *** himself is an electrician and it shows. I never knew *** before this install but I can honestly say this is one of the few companies I would not hesitate to recommend. An extreme pleasure to deal with all through the process and one of the rare companies that value their customers.

I've been looking to go solar for a few years but was very hesitant after hearing many horror stories. Finding a company that was local was huge and **** was amazing. He seriously took care of everything from beginning to end. This company does all the leg work for you, communicate through the whole process and continue to be available after all the set up. The people who came and did the install were professional and again were awesome with their communication. If anyone is looking to go solar I would without a doubt choose this company over anyone.

Where can I even start how outstanding Midwest Solar Solutions has been to our family? I was so hesitant to make the jump to go solar. We arent on hard times, but with inflation and always watching our budget month to month, I kept thinking this could make us or break us. However, from the time I met ***, he had a calming sense about him. And he knew his stuff. It wasnt like dealing with an ordinary salesman. I felt more like he was a guy who was telling me how he was going to save me $$$ and he had the knowledge to back it up. Come the first day of install, I met his team. And what a great group of guys. These guys are at the top of their game. Craftsmen of the trade if you will. I was probably like the annoying little brother the whole time. I have done a few wiring jobs on houses myself so I was right there most of the time asking questions and I even learned a bit about their families and such. If I was 20 years younger, I would honestly be trying to join their crew. I opted to get an add on where if power went out, I could plug in a generator to my house to power 6 circuits. For the price, it was a no brainer for my household. The other thing I would like to note is that our house isnt very efficient when it comes to A/C. But I said from the beginning the solar panels on the roof are going to add shade, helping us cool the house. Our A/C runs a lot during the summer months. Winter isnt bad because we burn wood. *** downplayed it a bit saying something along the lines that it wont help that much. We disagree already. I know we arent in the hottest part of the summer yet, but we can already tell a difference in how much cooler it is in our house and in the fact that our A/C isnt running as much as it used to during this time of year. Next step is insulated siding, but thats down the road a little. I give these guys 5 stars all day and I will be bragging about this for probably the rest of my life.

Midwest Solar Solutions is the best!! The entire process was smooth, easy, and very rewarding. Anytime I had a question, I could text **** and he would text me back day and night within a half hour or less. At times I felt like I was asking too many questions; but **** and the team showed a lot of patience with me and made sure every question about Solar and the entire project was answered clearly and concisely. And ***** in the office was constantly in contact with us with updates on the timing of the project and the next steps going forward. Sometimes after other companies complete a project, you will never hear back from them again. With Midwest Solar Solutions, you are now a part of the family and they will continue to check up on your panels, make sure the entire system is still functioning at a high level, and continue to make sure that you as the customer are still happy and satisfied.
