On May 25, 2023 I booked an appointment online at the Wicker Park Byline Bank branch for May 27, 2023 at 9AM to open up two business bank accounts. I arrived to the branch around 8:58AM and waited until the branch manager opened the door to enter. As a banker began to assist me, 2 men entered the branch, one of which stated that he had an appointment to open a business account. The banker began to exchange dialogue with the patron and during their conversation, stated to him that "this lady just walked in and I'm helping her open 2 business accounts", at that time I politely informed her that I had an appointment .The banker asked me when I made the appointment and checked her system. She then began to tell me that she had been out of the office at a training and was not aware that I had made an appointment. The angry patron yelled a bunch of expletives and eventually stormed out of the branch. In the midst of assisting me, the banker got up from her desk and went in the back to retrieve coffee for herself with no warning or consideration for my time. She asked for my Articles of Incorporation and EIN letter. I gave her what I had and emailed what I did not have in hardcopy form. The banker told me that I needed Articles of Incorporation with an inked signature from the state. I shared that I'd never had articles with a wet signature and explained that I printed the document directly from the ** state site. The banker began to ask me standard questions about my business, how I operated etcetera. She then looked at my ID and asked if I was sure that I wanted to bank at this location. I told her yes because I conduct business in the area. She told me that she'd send my documents to the "back office" and that we had to wait for their approval. After almost an hour, I shared that I'd come back at a later time since I had another appointment to make it to. She called 20 minutes later stating that I was denied because there was no info found on my business.
