I'm unable to use my debit card issued by this institution. It's been going on for over 6 hours and that is completely unacceptable for an institution that claims to be a bank. People rely on being able to use their money when they need it, and if you're bank can't do that then you don't deserve to exist anymore. This isn't a f****** burger king. You're a god **** bank. F****** be reliable. Your s*** should never go down. Period. End of story. This is unacceptable and they will do nothing to fix this with those affected. I'll be the one left to deal with the issues they are directly creating for their customers. It's unacceptable. Only communicating by their unknown ******* account is not an effective way to communicate these outages. There are thousands of people affected and they don't want anyone to know. This is such a f****** ********.Business response

Upon receipt of this complaint, the Banks 1st ************************* of Customer Operations & Products reached out directly to ****************** on April 10, 2024, to discuss his negative experience and explain the circumstances surrounding the occurrence, which was related to a technical issue with the Banks core provider that impacted multiple applications. The Director apologized on behalf of the Bank for the inconvenience and provided a service credit to Mr. ******** account as compensation for his inability to access his account during the outage. ****************** appeared to be satisfied with the direct contact and remediation efforts and stated that he would be willing to respond back to the Better Business Bureau that his complaint has been resolved. Please feel free to reach out to the Bank with any additional questions or concerns.

I, *******************, noticed some unrecognizable charges on my bank statement from Marquette Bank. I have been banking with this bank located at **************************************************** since ****. I visited the bank on 09/28/23 and spoke with ***************************** about these charges. She was very rude and upset me, because she accused me of authorizing all these charges. Even though Im *************************** my right frame of mind and drive every day. These are the charges that I was disputing on 09/29/23. The total amount is ******. Also, these are charges in August that ******** did not allow me to dispute. I have listed them as well, and they total ******.08/03/23 ***** **************** premium *********** 09/03/23 ***** One Stop Stationary Store *********** I received a letter on October 11, 2023 from Marquette Bank, which stated they are giving me a partial credit of ****** until they investigate. If the claim is denied, the credit would be charged against my account. I never received any other correspondence from the bank about the balance, so I decided to go to the bank to discuss this on 11/01/23 at around 1:30pm accompanied by my daughter. We wanted to speak to a manager, but ******* she said she was busy. ******* was nice in the beginning, but soon turned out to be very rude as well. We were in the bank for 45 minutes and they were never able to tell us about the money still owed. They even called the security guard and two managers that were too busy to help us earlier. They told us we had to leave the bank. I would like to be credited ****** plus the ****** for a total of ******. I feel heartbroken because I have been taken advantage of as a Senior Citizen. I have attached my bank statements with the charges, the letter from the bank, and dispute form that I signed on 09/28/23. Thank you so much ******************* *************************** email.Business response

On April 24, I sent my mortgage payment in. Someone stole my check from the mail and cashed it, now this check was made out to the bank who holds the title the amount was ***** dollars. I have been trying to get my money back from my bank which is Marquette Bank for 3months now with no luck. Today I was told that there are 3 banks involved so if the bank doesnt give them the money Im out mine. I didnt cash that check someone else did and who ever gave this money should have known this person wasnt a mortgage company. That is a mistake on their part. Why should I have to lose my money when I trusted Marquette with mine. I am a single mother with 3 small kids and i cant afford to be out this money. I dont know what to do.Business response

February 19th, 2021 I had sent $700.00 to an ************************* via *****, via ***** through the marquette bank app.On February 22nd, 2021 I had sent ****** and $140.00 to a *************************** via Zelle, through the marquette bank app.On February 22nd, 2021 I also sent $945.00 to a Sky *** Movers on cashapp.Resulting in a total of $2,425.00 being sent out.I sent this money out thinking I was purchasing a dog, as soon as i found out that it was a scam, WHILE the transactions were STILL PENDING. I immediately called Marquette Bank to cancel the transaction. The transactions were never cancelled. I filed a dispute against them and filed a will county police report.I never received the dog I thought to purchase and immediately after looking at all the accounts I had sent money to, I googled them when I got home from work to only see that they were known scams.Marquette bank should have protected me and stopped the transactions at my request, but they failed to do so.Im looking for a compensation of $2,425.00 back from Marquette as a FDIC ************* they should have recovered my money. There also is no excuse as to say that the transactions couldnt be covered because they were through zelle and cashapp when my wife's bank covered the zelle transaction she did. Didnt give her a ******** excuse. Actually covered her assets like an ACTUAL bank is to do so.Such a disgrace.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Due to the fact that I have talked with many police investigators and they all told me the same thing. It doesnt matter how the money was sent, the bank has to give the money back to the consumer considering I was unknowingly scammed. I was led to think I was receiving a puppy I sent multiple payments for and it was never fulfilled on the bargain. I reported each incident to the bank as soon as it happened. You say 'oh its not covered because it was sent through zelle and cashapp' but its funny because my significant other reported the payments she sent regarding this same issue at the same time to her bank CIBC, they were able to recover the payments she sent through cashapp. So your excuse is a load of bs.I will be changing banks soon and I encourage many others to do so since Marquette Bank does not have consumer protector in mind.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because I believe that a culture of irresponsibility exists at Marquette Bank. This is evident with their dodgy unaccountability and lack of ownership of this issue. They retained the services of their "third party", yet they say it's not their problem and it is up to me to have my address removed? What a ridiculous response. My opinion of Marquette Bank could not possibly be any lower; their name and brand will forever be synonymous with words like "lazy", "unaccountable" and "irresponsible". I am extremely glad I have never been a customer of theirs.I will submit an application for a Prohibitory Order with the United ********************* via their Form PS1500.If Marquette Bank chooses to violate this order through their "third party marketing services" then the **** will ask the attorney general to request a federal district court to enforce the order pursuant to 39 U.S.C. 3008(d)

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is tentatively acceptable. However, if Marquette Bank fails to uphold their assurance and I do continue to receive from them unsolicited, marketing correspondence of whatever kind, I will follow through with my request for a Prohibitory Order by the USPS.I was advised by the office of the ******** ************************* that Form PS1500 is a very useful tool to stop irresponsible, nuisance businesses such as Marquette Bank from continuing to inundate people with unsolicited, junk mail.
Sincerely,
