Hired the services of Playhouse Party Rentals for a school party from 10am-2pm. They showed up 1 hour late with no notice. Part of our order was missing, when asked about bringing missing items, we were told it would take too long to come back. Both bounce houses that were setup were dirty and and one was setup incorrectly, parents had to fix it. The spring on dunk tank broke during use and had to be shut down at 1pm an hour before the end of our event. Most concerning is serious safety issue that arose during the event. The electrical fire and sparks originated at the connection point between our cord (which we were instructed to run from the inside) and Playhouse's XL extension cord. Once unplug, we discovered the extension cord used was damaged - missing a grounding rod. This hazardous situation raised serious questions about the adherence to safety standards and the proper functioning of their equipment. In the interest of safety, we had no choice but to completely unplug the equipment and shutdown the bounce house. Given the litany of issues we experienced, which resulted in a late order, disappointed children, incorrect items, and broken equipment, we contacted Playhouse and requested compensation. We have not received a response from them.
