I had several conversations with "consultants". They advertise $10k tuition but then it doubled since they cannot my recognize my BA degree. Even though they stated a BA degree is not a requirement.

Dear *********************** - You may be confusing our institution with another that has Midwestern in its name.  We have no record of you ever speaking with us, nor do we have any tuitions advertised at $10,000 as you state.  Our programs are at Certificate and Associate degree levels only, and typically students already with BA degrees do not enroll. Plus, we do not have any "consultants" on staff.  We hope that you redirect your concerns toward the appropriate school with which you had conversations, and wish you best of luck in your career,

Midwestern Career College is a growing and visionary school, my experience as an international student has been really exciting and supportive, the school is constantly monitoring their alumni and making sure we are receiving the best knowledge and professional development. This experience has been rewarding and I have learnt a lot, the teachers are close to the students, and they make sure we are participating in class and that we understand and feel comfortable at all times.During covid times the school reacted rapidly and create the online platforms and make sure we all have access to it and the constant monitoring brings an exceptional service. The campuses I visited in downtown are very professional and they offer a great service for the students.Thank you, Midwestern Career College.

***************** - Thank you for your review. MCC takes pride in serving its students, enabling them to have a great experience and learning outcomes. In addition to our business and IT programs, the focus on the health care industry have enabled many to develop skills sets to enter or expand their careers in the industry. We offer programs that are in high demand by employers, including Surgical Technology, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Dialysis Tech, Ultrasound Tech and Radiography/X-Ray *****

Lets start with the fact that the program I wanted to attend had no instructors. This place is a rip off and a joke! I was charged for not even attending class. I paid ******* for 30 days and was charged an additional ******* for attending 1/3 of the program. I would never suggest to anyone to attend this college for any reason. There are better options available and you can talk to people that actually know whats going on. Each time I spoke to some at the college they were unsure and I was given false information. Students beware of this college!

Dear **************** - We are disappointed that our institution's class attendance requirements, as well as financial and academic policies did not meet your expectations. The refund policy is clearly stated in the catalog and your enrollment agreement, which you have signed before enrollment. This refund policy is tiered, tied duration from one's program start and last day of attendance. It is similar to many other institutions and is in compliance with all regulatory bodies. You were aware of it. We understand that it is hard to appreciate the quality of a program after attending only 30 days. If you would have continued, you would have realized that it is one of the premier programs in the *************** with graduates finding employment opportunities that are in high demand, and for which they are highly prepared. We wish you best of luck and success in your next career step.

I do not even know where to begin when my cohort started in May of 2020 things were going well until they didn't. Any questions we had and tried asking would either get no reply or we would get replied to days later. The communication from the teachers was not great. We had to constantly ask why certain things were not available in Brightspace even thought we had to get things done by a certain time. Someone in my cohort never was registered into a class she needed to take and when they finally added her to the class, she then had to make up all the work from the first two weeks on top of week we were currently on. She was taken points off from the weeks she had to make up when obviously this incident was not her fault and when she tried to talk to the teacher and program director, she was pretty much told they couldn't do anything. The instruction we received in our lab classes were sub-par. We learned one basic set up and only one set of instruments when we know there are many more. We were told our externship was going to be pushed back because of covid and we all understood until Spring/ Summer of 2022. I was told that if I provided proof of vaccination it would help me get placed. I didn't get placed till November 2021 and then in that same month after only attending my site for 3 days all students from this school were pulled until further notice. Then in January 2022, we received an email that the site no longer wanted to work with the school, and while I was at my site I know for a fact it was because of who the site was dealing with at the school. I am not 3 months post "graduation" and I still have not been able to complete my externship requirement.

Dear ********* - We understand your frustrations and agree that COVID has thrown everyone a curveball where uncertainty and changes to traditional practices required significant adjustments to everyone. Moving some educational sessions online, especially when there is a case in the classroom is more than inconvenient. The hospitals where externships are held also have had to adjust, often pausing non-critical operations as they focused on COVID patience, often creating challenges for our students. Unfortunately, we can not control COVID, related government mandates or how our clinical partners manage their operations. This was and partially continues to be a challenging time that requires resilience, flexibility, and patience. If you would like to address your your personal confidential details in this public forum, please provide us a FERPA consent so we can do so. If not, please contact our student services or your Program Director so we can ensure that you graduate and pursue your career objectives. We are committed to your success and want to help you. Thank you
