I purchased a family plan without knowing my significant other had already purchased one--no problem, I thought, it's been about four days I'll cancel and get a refund! I hadn't even created an account yet, so I wasn't able to have downloaded any of their software (which is the reason they give to why they can't offer refunds). **************** refused to offer any refund at all and kept saying they would add the payment onto my wife's account to extend the subscription--as if I'd want to continue using them after this. I had heard from others that they are a shady company and I should have stayed away. They also don't answer the phone when you call and rely exclusively on email.Review from Damian C

It's an acceptable service when it works, however BE AWARE they will bill you prematurely on an annual subscription, and will initially refuse refund requests - They billed me a solid 3 weeks prior to my renewal date, and then stated this was policy, but their policy they quoted states they give notice 5 calendar days prior to expiration that auto-renewal will occur - Shady business practices beware!Review from Brett Z

I've been using Keeper for a couple of years now. During that timeframe, I lost my cellphone which required me to reach out to support for some assistance. They were professional and helped me get my Keeper account configured on my new cellphone. I'm about to have a decrease in my income due to retirement and I felt the need to convert my Keeper Family account and Breach Watch Family account down to a basic Keeper Unlimited account. My subscription was coming up for renewal in a couple of weeks, so I reached out to Keeper Support to assist me with the change and to request a refund for the difference between what they charged me and what my new plan cost would be. They handled my support request perfectly! When I first purchased Keeper, I thought I would have my wife start using it, so I purchased the Family plan. She did not want to use a password locker and so after 2 years, it just made sense for me to scale back. There was no argument from the support staff. I thought they handled my request professionally and the result turned out exactly as I wanted. I like the product, the support has been fine and so I give Keeper high marks.Review from Luis R

i had signed up for a trial account last year, then converted it to a paid subscription when they offered a 20% discount. Like others have mentioned here, Keeper renewed my subscription 3 weeks ahead of my actual renewal date. I had planned on canceling my subscription as it got closer to my renewal date. There is absolutely no way to cancel your subscription on the website. This in my opinion is a shady practice. If you can signup on the web, you should be able to cancel on the web as well. I emailed support and explained my situation, and unlike others have mentioned, I got no run around what so ever. I received a response within a few hours that my credit card would be credited. A few days later a received my credit. The service itself is ok, I prefer 1Password, which is why I canceled my subscription. Leaving a 3 star rating, mainly because they make you contact support to cancel your subscription, and the fact that they renew 3 weeks before the actual renewal date. I have been using Keeper Security for five years with no issues. The plugins for me have worked with Opera, Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Edge. I am not an Apple user, so I cannot ****** on that experience. I have over 163 stored logins. It is great using auto-fill and password change assistance. There is a small learning curve using the password change assist. I am also able to share my logins with my business partners and Accountants, so if anyone changes a password, we all have it. This company is a bunch of crooks. I installed the software which is poor and doesn't integrate with the Safari browser at all. I gave up on it and went back to One Password which if far better. Keeper has decided to keep charging my credit card fraudulently and refuse to talk to me about the account or issue a refund. I was forced to change my credit card and report Keeper for their fraudulent charges. Avoid this company at all costs or you will have to pay for something you don't or cant use.Keeper Security, Inc Response

Keeper Security fails in the most basic aspects of signing up. based on that, why would anyone trust their passwords to this company. Signed up for the **** discount, which never went through so was charged full price, then began to get emails that said "account has expired". When I asked for a refund, Keeper Security said that they do not give refunds. They deliver this message in a very cold manner. What this tells me is that they must be very hard up for cash, otherwise, they would want to make good on their claim of being "the trusted and proven cybersecurity leader". I purchased 3 years Keeper Password after trying it out on a PC. There trial only allows you to try it on one device. Once I tried it on Android phone I found the software to be entirely buggy. KeeperFill worked on some sites and not on others. Half the passwords that I imported to Keeper from Bitwarden didn't work and I had to retrieve them from Bitwarden. I contacted Keeper support and they were unable to resolve my issues. I demanded a refund and they told me I was not entitled to one because I had a installed their software. This is ridiculous because their software is free to download. Anyway I filed a complaint with BBB and within a few hours Keeper emailed me and said they were refunding my money. My advice: Try Bitwarden Password Manager. It's free and has a lot more to offer than Keeper.Review from Herbert N.

My wife accidentally logged into the keeper. We do not need it since we have Lass Pass. I cannot get it off my system. I have attempted to contact the company via telephone and also via customer chat (chat will not come up and ********************** does not answer the phone. I recently purchased Keeper without trialling the software, based on reviews. I purchased a 3 year subscription to save money. Unfortunately, immediately after installing it, I realised that the software wouldn't offer me any benefit beyond the autofill function of Chrome and iCloud that I already have in use. It didn't function as I expected and the autofill function was inconsistent so I turned it off and reverted to Chrome.I contacted Keeper Security support to request a refund, stating that "Ive not used it once and, in hindsight, didnt need to buy it. I do not intend to use Keeper, or any other similar app. I am in a difficult financial situation at present and I could really use the money I spent on a 3 year subscription."I received a reply stating, 'Unfortunately, as per our terms of use https://www.keepersecurity.com/en_GB/termsofuse.html, we do not offer refunds. Our terms of use state 'You may cancel your account at any time. Since the Software is delivered in full at the time of purchase and we cannot uninstall it from your device(s), you will not be issued a refund.' Given that I requested a refund only a week or two after the purchase, I feel I am within my rights to request a refund. Even if I were to receive a partial refund for two of the three years, I would be satisfied.Keeper Security, Inc Response
