      I had a terrible experience with renting DJ equipment from Gear Club Direct and would not recommend them to anyone. The equipment was inexcusably late, the company was unprepared to fulfill the order on-time despite repeated confirmation, and the customer service was neglectful to say the least. Heres my encounter:I booked equipment for my wedding and the plans were made for Gear Club Direct to deliver the equipment at 9 a.m. so things could be set up before the party started at 4pm and before the chaos of having all of my dearest friends and family arrive. By 10:30 a.m. the equipment was nowhere to be found, and we called repeatedly, with very limited response. Itll be there in 30 minutes ***** said. After an hour I called again; Any moment now, he responded. 11:00 . . . Noon . . . 1:00 pm; By 1:30 I thought for sure Id been scammed, esp. as ***** said that I needed to enter in more credit card info at the most recent call that went through. My first and second cards were maxed out by the order and I had to ask a family member at the last moment for a third credit card for things to go through, but with people starting to show up, and no sign of equipment, and eventually no response to calls, I thought that Id been completely 100% scammed. By 2:30, I had my wedding suit on and was using my right arm to walk my 90-year-old grandmother to her seat and my left arm to hold the cellphone while I tried to cancel all of the $5000 credit transactions to GCD. My heart was pounding; the equipment was easily the most expensive part of the wedding. Our calls were actually being screened: it wasnt until we asked friends to call GCD from their phones that we got a response. I had no other option but to go with it.The equipment finally arrived at 3 p.m.; family rushed to set it all up. This could have been avoided by communicating credit requirements and that GCD would be unable to deliver the equipment.

      I ordered a Sling Studio from them on 3-3-21. They told me it would come on or about the 3-28-21. It did not come at all. I called them many times and they kept telling me it would come in another month. I cancled the order on 9-3-21 and ask for a refund. I was told I would get a full refund in 3 to 5 days. The refund never came. I have called them many times. As of 12-1-21 I still have not gotten a refund. I would not give them 1 star in a 5 star rating system.
