I normally give companies and customer service emlpyees the benefit of the doubt but I jad a true nightmare of an experience with Orbitz today. Orbitz had sent me a travel confirmation stating I would be flying on ******* out of the ***************. However, when I got there, there was no Jeblue counter (walked the whole airport) and every time I tried to check in the app froze. I tried to call both Orbitz and Jetblue but the Jetblue wait time was an hour and Orbitz had no # available. I was near tears, since I had to get to my 7 year old daughter before her Dad had to go to work. Airport information and at least 10 airport employees confirmed that there are no Jetblue flights at ***************. I had to pay $300 to catch the last possible flight to my destination with another airline before the plane was about to take off. At home, I reached out for help again and The ****** website dotectsd me to *******. After an hour on hold with Jetblue, I finally was able to reach a very helpful ******* agent who confirmed that they don't fly out of *************** but that they contract with Jetsuite X, a company that operates outside of a small private airport just outside the ******************** and that Orbitz should have communicated this to me and thst I should contact Orbitz.I finally reached an Orbitz "manager" - or perhaps chat bot - who refused to give me a refund. My whole monthly budget for my kids is thrown off by this haddship that occurred due to no fault of my own. Long story short, I will not book through Orbitz again and you may want to think twice about using their services too of you care about receiving the services you paid for and being treated with kindness and professionalismReview from Sharath V

I made a reservation with Confirmation GAECGQ (***************)22H7TU (Air India)22H7TU (Air India)Booking ID ****** I got 2 bags with my reservation. My initial leg of reservation is with ***************, they rebooked me with United as the flight was delayed. United charged me $200 for the second bag. Now orbitz not helping me with refund of baggage fee I paid. I should get two bags without additional charge as per my reservation.Review from Admar B

I booked a vehicle rental through Orbitz for my parents. The driver listed was my dad but the rental company refused to deliver the vehicle because I was not present at booking. At this time, Orbitz has denied my refund request.Review from Serina S

I was in ********** I booked a hot springs activity and used their directions to get to the place . When I went to place I showed them my booking to have the place tell me that is not their deal and that someone must of used pictures of there place to post on the site but that I paid $90 and gave my information to A fraudulent post. I contacted Orbitz right away on their Virtual agent and gave them the number to the place. To follow up on it and that they were only charging $10 and that I paid somebody 90 on their site and I wanted a refund. Never got confirmation so called after trip was over to get treated like Im trying to get over . When I paid an additional price to still get which was $10 per person and there was two of us . They refunded $ 70 back . Dont know how they did that math . But I been a member for 10 years and most the time a top tier member and this last year has been horrible. Beware !Review from Annitta S

Booked a hotel stay in ********** IL and ended up having to cut the hotel reservation short by one day. I followed all of the instructions including the time limit provided by Orbitz to make changes to reservations and expected to be refunded. Orbitz has given me the run around about who is responsible for denying the refund. According to the hotel, Tru Hilton, it is a Orbitz issue and they have decided not to refund me the funds.As such I have emailed Orbitz and receive a canned response each time. I have asked this issue to be escalated and as of today its been crickets. I am another dissatisfied customer and will never use them for my travel arrangements again. **Orbitz is an subsidiary of Expedia along with Hotels.com, Vrbo, Travelocity, Hotwire.com, Ebookers, CheapTickets, CarRentals.com, Expedia Cruises, Wotif, and Trivago.Review from Janice R

I honestly give **************************** Headquarters a big ZERO, they dont even deserve a 1. I did a package with Orbitz & when they emailed my ******************* they changed my car rental but charged me for the Jeep I clicked on that for my family of 5 with 5 **************** are giving me an SUV that doesnt fit my family nor luggage. Its not my first time using Orbitz but it surely is the last.Review from KC C

Terrible, policies are misleading, unclear and need to be revised. Tried to change the time on my flight regret booking with a third party website as I always use jetblu. I wanted to pay the difference for a later in time flight same day yet they stated the policy the policy the policy. Its absurd how I am not cancelling my flight, changing destination or my name, but simply modifying the time from 6am to 835pm and they refuse to help possible have this over ridden to help me more. READ every word in the policy and call them before adding your payment because its silly to me that i was denied a flight time change when jetblu themselves told me to do so with Orbitz free of charge just paying a flight cost difference. I never use Orbitz, i will NEVER use them again! Place policy text is simpler words too not to confuse flyers and take their money! Paid $350 for a flight to ******* from *** and wanted to pay more but they would not help. NEVER again theyre robots who do not wish to help people more. Then the agent on orbitz states the only one who can make this flight change is the airline themselves so which is it?!?! Again misguidingReview from Marné G

I was told that I would receive a $720 airline credit to my account from ****** A in Customer Relations but it was never honored. I received this is in writing and followed up to share this communication with Customer Relations and they have arbitrarily decided to not honor it. I have contacted customer relations multiple times to redeem my credit and they have been non-responsive. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.Review from Melisa H

We booked a flight in February 2023 from ******** to ****** with travel insurance. In August 2023, my parents were involved in a fatal vehicle accident so we opted to use our travel insurance to cancel the flight. We contacted Orbitz to cancel the flight and we were told that we would receive a credit for $955.10 through the airline that they would hold for us to use within 12 months of cancellation. We followed up with the travel insurance for the additional reimbursement. We then contacted Orbitz in May 2024 to utilize our credit. Initially, the customer service rep booked our new flight and sent a confirmation email, he then placed us on hold and came back on the line and advised that our credit expired in February 2024 because it was only good for 12 months from the date of booking not the date of cancellation. The customer service rep was not helpful, difficult to understand, and hung up on me because I expressed my frustration with their poor communication. I did not curse at him or was anyway out of line with the explanation of my frustration/concerns. We will no longer book through Orbitz or any affiliated travel company instead will book directly through the airline. There is no benefit, in fact its more difficult if you need to make any changes or cancellations.Review from Michael S

I used Orbitz for reserving a car rental and car insurance with Next Car in ************, **********. Once I got to the rental agency, I was charged an additional $335.00 for insurance, which was significantly more than the $52.00 I had paid through Orbitz. I feel that I was mislead when reserving and paying for the rental with Orbitz, especially for offering insurance which wasn't recognized by Next Car rental in **********. I spoke with Orbitz and they agreed to refund the $52.00, but what they quoted me in the reservation was dead wrong. The process for contacting Orbitz and the rental procedures at the rental car company were very discombobulating. I refuse to do anymore business with Orbitz.
