I called Rob West Plumbing to have a plumbing issue looked at on November 7, 2022. They charge $100 just to come out, so I said gave them the okay. After that initial visit I was told verbally what the job would be cost, but can't remember the exact numbers because I never got anything in writing. I did give him the okay to fix the "tub diverter" and told him that I could pay in payments and he was okay with that. I paid additional $600 on the 11/7 after their assessment. He came back 2 days later to do the work and called me saying there was another problem where a pipe behind the wall broke because my "pipes were old and rusted". Now they had to take out the whole wall and replace the shower pipes as well as the initial diverter issue. *** says it'll be more money, "about $3,000". I said I don't have that money upfront, but I can pay in payments. He said that if I can pay him cash he could give me a little discount by charging me $125 per hour instead of $150 per hour. I agreed and gave him $1,500 in cash on November 15th, I took to his office while his assistant was there, ************. I asked for a receipt and he said that ****** will email it to me. I have never gotten that receipt. I also agreed to buy most of the supplies, which I did. As the weeks have gone by they continue to find more things wrong and the price is continually going up. Finally I was told that they had to take out the whole tub to fix a crack that was under or around the drain. I ended up buying a tub and faucet for them to install. He asks me when can I pay him something again, and I said I had $900 that I can give him on 11/23. I met up with him to give him the money, when I handed him a cashiers check he got upset and said "i thought you were giving me cash...anything with my name will get me audited". I decided to fire him after he told me the total cost would be "around $10,000". I had given him a total of $3,350 and he still had not finished after 4 weeks. Now he wants $4,050 more.
