I had a horrible experience with this company. Besides not having the deserved compassion for my daughter's medically diagnosed disease, they refused to speak on the phone to help resolve our issue. In good faith, I signed up for their tutoring; but didn't realize we would be stuck in a contract. We barely used the 2 months of hours we paid for. I emailed them to cancel explaining that my daughter's health condition declined to the point that she could not do the tutoring. I figured they would understand because mental health is now a more understood topic. I asked them if they could hold the hours we paid for until her condition improved. I even offered to pay for the third month. Their offer was their standard 2-month summer pause and then we would have to downgrade to a more expensive plan after paying for the third month we owed them. We owed them for the third month because my credit card was stolen and they could not charge the old card on file. This is when the threats started coming to ruin my credit. They boasted that they are a big company started by lawyers and that they have investors and a board. I started receiving numerous threatening texts from a California number and threats by email. If I paid them the third month, they would have had a total of $1152 for hours that would have been lost because my daughter could not use them. They would not hold the hours even though she was severely suffering with her health. This had nothing to do with the money because I had the money to pay them. Their arrogance and refusal to get on the phone disturbed me. What kind of business in the year 2024 refuses to speak to its customers? They have now sent me to a collection agency to pay for tutoring hours that we cannot use. Instead of being content with profiting off of us for the unused hours, they decided to be inhumane. This reminds me of the old timeshare racket in which attorneys would go after their customers with such an aggressive threatening nature.
