Ive been with this agency since 03/02/2022 ,paid my bill on time in the amount of $86.58 for sr22 and about a week or so ago I get a renewal letter in the mail in the amount of $261.77 which is absurd, they told me the reason is, is because my *** is a work ***, which it is a *** that I use for personal use. It is not a work *** they asked for me to send pictures. I sent them pictures, showing the inside of the vehicle, which truly shows that there are seats a television in there and they say those pictures arent enough in the beginning when I got the insurance I had to show them pictures and it was not a problem. These people act like they dont care about their customers they say once they approve the additional pictures that they asked for and they approve ,that my bill would be two $220.28 per month thats ridiculous because theyre saying because of the area that I live in thats why the price will go up thats absurd . And thats not even a full coverage..Business response

Hello,
I have looked into this complaint and here is what I found. The carrier is asking for additional pictures of the interior, and all sides of the exterior of the vehicle. Customer provided preliminary photos that show he has materials in the back related to tools used in painting. Additionally, the insured advised the agent that he in fact is a painter by profession. Given these images that were submitted to the carrier, Underwriting determined that this risk is used for business use. Which is why the company increased the rate to account for possible business exposure that otherwise would not be covered under a personal auto policy. The customer has been asked twice to provide these pictures and we have not had a successful response to submit to the carrier. Moreover, the insured was also advised that he could be requoted with another carrier that covers business use to see if we could place him with a lesser premium. The customer declined this option. Please advise if you need additional information.

I was involved in a car accident where a Illinois insurance insurer hit my car I tried to file a claim and they would not make a claim because I didn't have the other drivers information. I have the police report number and the policy number that's all I was given by tue police officer. The person I spoke to named ****** was very unprofessional and disrespectful and kept refusing to file a claimBusiness response

Hello,
I had the opportunity to speak with **************** about his claim. He provided me with the policy information, and I was able to locate the policy in question. This policy is currently not in effect, and it is the reason why the claim was not able to be submitted. I apologized for the behavior of the representative and explained the options he had to resolve the claim outside of this policy. **************** was very understanding of the situation and advised he would research the options I provided him. I asked that he reached out to me if he needed further assistance. No further action is required.

Agency charged my account over $10 as a transaction fee because the card data that they had on file (from a prior payment) failed to process when they attempted to auto pay my **** without my authorization. When asked as to why this card was attempted for use without my prior authorization, the rep said it was the card on record for me. I asked the rep who authorized the agency to retain my card info as I've never given them permission to do any actions of that nature due to the fact that I elect to use my bank's **** pay service in lieu of card storage with companies. I asked to speak with someone who could investigate this practice by the agency and was told the company doesn't have that service. Rather than argue with the rep, I am simply filing a complaint on the company to have an independent agency investigate their questionable practices. Thank you.Business response
