Landscaping was done and I was told that I would be receiving pavers by my fence to prevent rocks from going underneath. Instead wood was placed, and it and several "nails" are coming up from the ground which is hazardous. The owner told me four times that he would fix the problem as well as replace the plants that died. He has come several times to see the issue, and told me he would return to replace and fix the issue. He has never come back to do the work, and he is ignoring my calls and text messages. He did not offer me a refund for material I paid for the fence line. I would like $1,000 refund for the materials.Initial Complaint

My wife and I hired **** Gonzalez of JG Design / Gonzalez Landscaping on April 17, 2023 to make repairs to the pavers on my small front porch, and then to clean, prep, re-sand all with polymeric sand and seal all the surfaces of my front porch, driveway and front walkway, side walkway and back patio at my home at **************************************************************We agreed on a total price f $6,200 for all labor and material.My wife and I paid **** Gonzalez $4,000 by check on April 17, 2023 as the first installment to cover initial labor and much of the material (replacement pavers, polymeric sand, and liquid sealer) for the job.**** and his crew started work in early May.There were some short delays due to weather, scheduling, and ****'s health; but, by the end of May, the job seemed almost ready for the final phase of the polymeric sand and the sealer.I then agreed to pay **** Gonzalez the next $1,200 (making the total paid to him $5,200 of the agreed upon $6,200) so he could complete the purchase of materials. I paid this to him via Zelle on May 31, 2023.He then told me he expected to be finished with the job on June, 4 or by June 11 depending on weather. We agreed that I would not pay him the final $1,000 until he completed all work and I was completely satisfied with the result.When the job still had no more progress on June 2nd, **** and I exchanged a few more text messages about having a call so he could update me again on when he would return to finish the job. The last such exchange occurred on June 8, 2023 about me calling him, but he never answered my phone calls that afternoon nor any text messages I sent to him.Since June 8, 2023, neither **** Gonzalez nor anyone who works for him has communicated with us in anyway despite multiple texts and phone calls to his cell phone (the cell phone offers no voicemail...only a message that the phone customer cannot currently be reached), and multiple calls with voicemail messages to the business/office phone.Initial Complaint

I entered into an agreement for hardscaping work to be performed at my residence. Total cost was $3,000.00. **** requested money up front to purchase materials. Since he had done work for me in the past, I agreed to this. He received $500.00 cash on 10/17/22 and $1,500.00 cash on 10/18/22. I paid an additional $500.00 by check #**** on 10/20/22. My check cleared the bank and **** did initial a document as acceptance of the cash provided to him. He was to return within a day or two to start the work. He has not returned nor is he answering my phone calls. I am an elderly woman that could use your assistance in obtaining a refund. Thanking you in advance.
