I ordered the shutters from Sunburst that I had used in the past. I was very happy with the previous *************************** but not this time. The shutters did not fit properly which I mentioned to the installer. I had ordered the kitchen 1/2 shutters only after the technician who measured assured me it would to interfere with the faucet. He was wrong. The shutters themselves looked awful from the outside of the house as well. I called the day after to tell them how unhappy I was, & they said someone would come out. Upon inspection with no suitable options, the rep said that they would give me a full refund. I then ordered new shutters from another company. A week later he calls to say they could only offer 1/2 back. I asked to speak to the supervisor since I had been promised a full refund. After 2 weeks, I called them. The owner came out. He himself had problems closing the shutters properly, never acknowledged the problem with the kitchen shutters, and said basically too bad. "You ordered them this way, so they are yours" and told me I would get $0 back. He then started saying all the things they could do differently including the hidden openers (which was the first time I ever heard of this from this company.) He did not even address how they did not open & close properly. He was very rude, and being a single female senior citizen I was somewhat upset by his demeanor. I just wanted him gone at this point. If the rep was unsure of how much they could refund, an amount never should have been mentioned. When I asked to have the owner call me to discuss this, I should not have had to wait 2 weeks. The owner/managers disrespectful nasty behavior should never be tolerated by any customer. I was so happy with the ************************** in the past, I was stunned by their poorly installed product, faulty information at the point of sale, & handling of this order. Having replaced the product already, I have the shutters they installed if they want them.Business response
