This is the second attempt to have work completed and receive a refund. I submitted a complaint on October 20, 2023.In correspondence through the BBB the agency assured me that the work would be completed within two weeks and a check refunded for work and supplies that were never received. It is 12/15/2023 and I have not received either and the agency has not returned any correspondence.

In mid 2020 I contracted with ** Home Restoration to replace our roof do to hail damage. The job was paid for by my home owner's insurance, State Farm, less a $2000 deductible. The job was completed Dec 2020, unfortunately the job went late into darkness and the crew was not able to do a complete cleanup. In addition to pieces of shingles and nails around my house there were marks on the house sidings where shingles had hit. After contacting ** Home, my main contact was *********************, they agreed to clean and remove the marks. A few days later a man named ****** came out and did the work. Noticing the siding looked different where he cleaned it I asked what product he used, he said lacquer thinner and showed me the can. The siding material is vinyl, lacquer thinner damaged the siding. I contacted ***** and he came to the house and agreed with me that the siding either needed additional cleaning or replaced. Since it was late December we agreed to have whatever work needed to be done in Spring 2021. In April 2021 ***** and ************************* (I believe he owns the business.) They could not agree if a whole house cleaning would work or if the house needed residing. We agreed to try whole house cleaning first but I was assured that if the cleaning didn't work they would reside the entire house. The cleaning didn't work and my repeated attempts, text and email, to get information on the siding contractor have not been addressed. Since I live in a **** **** community new siding has to be approved by a compliance committee I have not been able to get info from ***** or *****. The last correspondence I have is Aug 2021. I think the strategy is to ignore me in the hopes I will give up, up until now it has worked but I have since decided to file a formal complaint with BBB.

We entered into a Public Adjuster contract with ************************* on October 7, 2020.  Upon initial inspection of property we saw that there was weather damage to the roof and the siding was ruined from mechanical damage caused by an aggressive pressure wash done previously. We completed the insurance claim and we were successful in getting the roof approved by the insurance company.  We obtained the village permit on November 6, 2020.  We then removed the old roof, we doubled the required ice and water shield, upgraded the ventilation, and included an upgraded 50 year warranty because we are Master *************** by GAF.  The certificate of completion was completed and sent to insurance company on January 12, 2021.  Upon final inspection we did see some residue from old shingles that had come in contact with the siding.  We gave the ********* the option of cleaning the siding with the residue or replacing the siding.  Mr. and ******************* could not agree at the time which was the best option for them.  So several of our outside staff followed up with the ********* however they did not get a response from the customer.  We then instructed our Project Coordinator to follow up every 2 weeks...again no response.  We are more than happy to fix the ******* issue.  Because of the covid pandemic and the age of the customer we did not know if they got sick or moved to assisted living.  We have gone above and beyond for these people period.  Thank you.
