  I paid around $2400 to this business for new tires, rims, and to have them balanced and aligned. Immediately upon leaving the shop I had turn around and have the tire’s rebalanced. After leaving again I felt a shake at about 60 mph but was unsure if it was just road noise. The problem continued for a week so I went back to Cooks and was told by the owner “I don’t know why the wheel is shaking but it is not the tires” so after saving up the money to pay a dealership to diagnose it, the dealership had to rebalance the tires again and now after another $216 my wheels and tires finally work properly. When I went to Cooks with the receipt from the dealership he told the dealership fucked me over and it was my fault I didn’t bring it back a third time to have them look, after he refused to look at it when I brought it back and the second time. The services I paid for here were tires, rims, balance, and alignment but the balance was not done properly even after redoing it. This could have caused to get into a serious accident and possibly even lose my life.

  Cook Performance has been in business since 1985. We are a small shop with only Myself and My Son as employees and mainly just sell and install wheels and tires. We do not advertise and our business is driven mainly by referrals. I have only had to respond to one other BBB complaint in our history. The customer was fine, We liked his Camaro, liked his wheel choice and installed the wheels and tires like We normally would. A month or two passes and the customer is visibly upset after he had picked up his car from a dealership (I completely understand) who had charged Him over $200. to essentially rebalance the front 2 tires. We generally charge $40. to mount and balance a full set. We would never refuse to rebalance a set of tires and wheels We had installed, but We also can't do it immediately if our one bay shop is in use. The customer was more interested in putting bad reviews everywhere He could and telling everyone what a horrible experience his purchase was, which He proceeded to do before He ever left our parking lot that evening. We hate that it came to this, but this case is closed on our end after the customer chose to tell the world that Cook Performance is not worthy.

  PS. IF You have a Slight vibration above 60 or so,  the "lose My life" complaint is probably a bit dramatic.
